Winsor & Newton Winton Oil Colour

Winton is a traditional range of oil colours, made from moderately priced pigments, formulated for student and amateur artists or more accomplished painters requiring large volumes of colour within moderate cost limits.

The application of traditional skills and modern colour chemistry techniques has resulted in a range of 47 carefully selected Winton Oil Colours which are of excellent quality.

Pigments Winton Oil Colour offers quality and affordability by using moderately priced pigments, rather than reducing the pigment load and compromising colour performance. A high level of pigmentation provides good covering power and tinting strength. While it can't match the superior pigment load of Artists' Oil Colour, the Winton range is much stronger than many other artists' quality ranges.	Consistency & Texture The Winton range has a more uniform consistency than Artists' Oil Colour and is slightly stiffer. It offers excellent retention of brush and palette knife strokes.	Surface Sheen The sheen of Winton is largely due to the pigments used so the gloss level varies across individual colours. This can be controlled through the selection of surface, the addition of solvent and the mediums used.

Winsor and Newton is one of the best painting companies, Winton Oil colors have the right amount of thickness, colors are beautiful, low odor, aren't as oily as other cheap oil colors, but if you prefer an oily texture, you can always add some linseed oil or poppy oil, i rather thick oil colors because i can decide how to use it, and it doesn't happen with more liquid ones.
Just of the tubes came a little broked, nothing too big or messy.
Highly recommend it if you are a begginer, amateur or veteran, you will not regret buying this amazing colors.

Great for fiberglass!

I used this to dye Bondo fiberglass resin. Holy crap did this stuff turn the resin a nice deep jet black. It does not take much to dye the resin either, I wouldn't be surprised if you could dye a full gallon of resin off a half bottle of this paint.

I did not notice any difference in the cure time of the resin with this added. I mixed up the resin with the dye first, then once that was thoroughly mixed added the hardener. Worked perfect. Would buy again!

Rich color and easy application

A great brand of oil paint, with rich color and easy application. I actually used this paint for touching up some stained woodwork where there were knicks and white marks, and it worked wonderfully and was easy to then use a polyurethane over once dry.

Damaged tube

While the paint is fine, the tube came punctured with paint leaking out of the side. It's messy and difficult to use the tube without squeezing it everywhere. The package wasn't damaged, so the item might have been shipped already punctured.
