I'm relatively new to airbrushes, so I'm not terribly familiar with the different hose sizes, types and materials -- I've been using the 6-foot hose included with the Paasche Talon airbrush and it's been working fine.. until I snapped it.

Needing a replacement, and the 10-foot hose of the same type being only about a buck more, I went for this one.

Right off the bat, the hose LOOKS the same - it's a high quality braided air hose. Connectors are the same (it will fit the Talon airbrush - not sure about others). Like the 6-foot hose, I did need an adapter to plug it into the air compressor I use (TC-20T air compressor -- if you did not need one with the 6-foot hose, you won't need one for this. I imagine it's more that my compressor has a non-standard sized outlet -- no deduction, just a heads-up!)

The hose length is nice -- 10 feet is a nice improvement over the 6 foot version if you need a little more space. I didn't have any leaks in mine (something a few reviews have noted, so do check yours if you order one!)

I did notice that the side that connects to the air compressor IS different than the one on the 6-foot hose. The 6-foot one seems to have some better sealing/rubber O-Rings, while the 10-foot version seems to rely more on friction and holding it against the compressor. I had no leaks when tightened, so it does seem to work, but just another change that could cause some issues down the road.

In the end, it's a nice size and works nicely!

There was a pin hole in the hose of the one that I got. The construction seemed good though, I do not know the process for making them and why the one that I got leaked. I would check the hose when you get it by flexing it close to the fittings as so as you get it be be sure that what I experienced does not happen to you because there is a time limit for returns. Amazon gave me a return shipping label is why I prefer to buy here over the Bay and The Egg stores that make you wait weeks to get a return authorization. Thanks Amazon!

Quality product! The flexibility is extremely good. My intended use was to use as a small blower to blow dust off my keyboards. I own a Paasche compressor meant for air brush use. I wanted to adapt the end of the hose to a miniature blower nozzle. So far, I haven't been able to find an adapter that will fit the hose so I can attach a small blower nozzle. I'll probably have to buy a cheap air brush and modify to be blower nozzle.

I ordered two of these hoses, and i do not like them. I have always used the 6 ft version which has a gasket on the 1/4 inch side. These hoses do not have it! Finally fixed one hose, but the other will stay in the package till i really, really need it.

It is hard to give it an accurate review as it does not fit my airbrush.

Speaking from looks and feel only, the hose is very pliable and dense, which leads me to think that it is good quality.

It doesn't fit a Thayer and Chandler airbrush so keep that in mind when ordering.

However, a badger hose does fit a Thayer and Chandler (I think Badger now owns T & C, or something like that anyway).

I am new to the whole airbrush scene and it never crossed my mind that a hose manufactured by one company wouldn't fit an airbrush manufactured by another company and since I hadn't received the airbrush yet I wasn't absolutely sure on the size of the air hose connection on the airbrush and took a chance that this was the right size (you win some, you loose some). Oh well, live and learn.

My guess would be that if you have a Paasche airbrush, this would be a good quality hose for it. Just make sure your sizes are matched.

Bought this for someone that was going to be airbrushing but only had the shorter hose that the airbrush came with . . . it was a concern before the airbrushing actually began. Turns out she didn't need it; the workspace accommodated the compressor and the shorter hose. But we have it now, and it looks the same and just as good as the Paasche hose that came with the airbrush. Next airbrushing event that comes our way, I think we'll be able to adjust to just about any workspace. Having what you need is always worth four or more stars . . . it was the spiral, springy, plastic hose that came with the compressor that was concerning :)

As others has stated its only fits a specific air pen, not an air brush. Be wary and determine the size that you need before ordering. Wasted my time and hopefully not my money as I will be getting a refund.
