The Husky 5000# trailer jack replaces the original 2000# jack on a cargo trailer. The "he man" jack now replaces the he man that had crank the old one. Though a side crank version was the preferred, the top crank was chosen because it did not interfere with the break-away battery box and a wiring harness for the trailer rear view camera.

Installation was straight forward, taking about 2 hours because of trailer brakes and the old jack was bent out-of-round from bottoming.. The battery, battery box and wiring had to be loosened including a ground wire in order to slip the battery box off the top end of the old jack. The rust wast cleaned and then painted where needed. The three bolts attaching the jack to the a-frame were threaded directly into the hitch plate. They removed easily and were reusable. The Husky mounted perfectly. Note: good time to charge the break-away battery at 2 amps if you have trailer brakes with break-away trigger switch.

Finally, a Fulton removable foot was attached. However, two drainage holes were drilled into the foot plate for drainage. One hole is in the base of the cup that attaches the cup to the foot plate. The second was in the curve of the plate. The foot was then painted.Neither the cup nor the footplate retain water.

The jack operates smoothly and easily. It is a great value.

We needed the ability to jack up the tongue of our trailer in order to install the Weight Distribution hitch we have for our truck/trailer. We actually broke the tongue jack that came on the trailer, so we looked for one that could handle more than 1000 lbs of weight. This one does the trick. We were a bit concerned that with the propane tanks right near the jack, we would have trouble with the top winding mechanism, but taking the tank cover off, we have plenty of room. This was priced so well and the product works just great - good peace of mind now when we go on trips that we wont have this fail on us again. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend.

Perfect fit on my 6x12 enclosed motorcycle trailer. It's the exact same height and travel as the original. It works faster and smoother than the 9-yr old jack it replaced. The handle arm seems to be of better quality than the original as well. Only 3-bolts to remove/reconnect (not included). Definitely recommend.

I bought this to replace the factory jack on my 16' Pace enclosed trailer. This jack is heavy and winds smooth, I have no problem with it lifting my trailer full or empty. Fit into the factory hole in the tongue and I was able to swap this out in less than 10 minutes.

Although it was a good product and worked very well until it would scrape the pavement going in and out of driveways. I am disappointed that I have to search and buy another jack. I learned the hard way about "retractable" measurements. I needed the strength for my 3500 lb trailer. Just a few inches too long.

This is the second trailer I've put one of these on. They are an easy install and work very well. The only down side is if you pull you trailer with a pick-up, your hitch needs to be long enough so that you don't ding your tailgate by dropping it on the top of the jack when you open it. Past that, it's excellent value for the money spent!
