I have purchased a large number of these embossing folders to use with my newly acquired Texture Boutique embossing machine. The cost of the machine on Amazon was nominal and the folders create a nice texture to your paper. I did find that it was best to place the folder in the "center" of the embossing pads in order to obtain the best impression. Happy I bought the machine and all of the folders; Amazon Prime rocks!

I embossed a 5x7 high gloss photo paper. Next I used Prismacolor pencils to highlight the raised design, cut the paper to fit inside a card, sprayed on a very light fixative, glued this emblem on the inside back of a card added a few more touches of decoration and I had a nice looking card.

I really like it when the folders come two to a pack. These fit perfectly on an A2 card so you don't need layers. If you wanted to add a plain layer to an A2 card base, you have to be very careful not to cut off part of the design, so I would recommend using the card base itself to emboss with these folders.

I like the look of these embossing folders and have made some fun and interesting cards with them. Sometimes I rub sandpaper lightly over the raised area to give it a worn look and get many comments about it.

These were ok. I think they are raised up a bit too much and tend to make the paper rip too easily. I have used other Sizzix Folders with my machine and didn't have this problem. I even changed papers thinking it was that to no avail. So I wouldn't suggest purchasing if you are going to be manipulating in order to fit more then once. Otherwise it will rip apart.
