i guess this is a good product, certainly is heavy enough. But we bought it for our large red eared slider (turtle) and it is just not wide enough. Even though it is listed as jumbo, the thing is not as wide as the turtle.

I read a lot of the reviews and measured carefully, so I knew what I was getting. But, it would be nice to find a really large, taller platform. I have a 12-year-old red-eared slider...he can't find under or on top of this. However, by strategically placing his extra large (also not large enough) "floating" platform, I can create a stable area for him to bask. It's very stable. The color has leeched out after a couple of months, but I don't really care.

My RES loves it. It seems sturdy and was double boxed & padded for shipping. The dimensions stated in the description are correct, but the picture makes it look quite tall. My pond is only 7" deep and I had to set it on two of the Zilla corner units to raise the platform section above the water level.

Take a close look at the dimensions before ordering. This platform, and subsequently the water level in your tank, is only 5 inches high. Not ideal for an aquatic turtle that likes room to swim.

These products off-gas. There was a very strong off-gassing the first 4 days, and a couple weeks later, I can still smell it fairly strongly in the bearded dragons cage. I hope that it isn't too toxic for him or for my son. I removed the items so they could off-gas outside of his cage for several days.

Note that I have a weak sense of smell--I don't usually smell things that others smell. My family was able to smell the off-gassing through much of our house (which is almost 3,000 sq ft). So, it was a pretty big deal.

alos, as others noted, the molds are not even or something. These don't sit steady on flat surfaces--they rock. There are a few edges a that I find a bit too sharp, and I'm worried about.

So, while these look good, for the prices on them I cannot recommend them. I'm wondering if they are knock offs or something. If your dragons live in a place that is not also your living area, and it you don't mind that this might cause them respiratory problems, then they are fine. But some are still overpriced for the low quality and safety concerns.

I purchased the large platform. I immediately had a couple issues with it:

1. The corner unit does not fit well into a corner - it is not a tight fit and leaves a weird space around the two sides - it was okay in the middle of the tank, but again it's made for a corner and can't properly be used there.

2. The steps are somewhat steep and could pose a problem for some reptiles.

3. If used in the corner, the underneath area has too small of an opening for anything to get in there, so it becomes wasted space or an area where insects go to stay safe.

I got this for my Bearded Dragon so he could get closer to his heat lamp but he is a lazy ass and refuses to climb it. I put him on top manually and he looked at me as if to say, "Thanks for the extra work climbing down from here, jerkwad". I hate my life.

If your reptile is a fat unmotivated lump of crap you may want to just skip this unless it's for decorative purposes. Aside from my personal experiences this ramp is solid and just as described. Maybe your pet won't be so freaking ungrateful.
