I ordered this stamp pad and Melissa & Doug Friendship Stamp Set for my niece's 4th birthday. Both stamp pads arrived DRY. My sister had to put water on them and let it soak all day. Even that didn't work. I was very disappointed that the gift arrived in such poor condition.

I bought large stamp shapes for my son for Christmas and when I saw how large this jumbo stamp pad was, and with multiple colors, I thought it would be perfect. Unfortunately, like some of the other reviewer's mentioned, the stamp pad arrived dry. We did try and put water on it like the other customer said worked for them, but it really didn't work all that well. My son is 2 1/2 so he just enjoys playing with it and putting the stamps on paper, although because of the lack of ink you can hardly see what the shape is he is stamping. If they could package it differently to keep the ink pads working, it would have been a great product.

I ordered this as a last minute Christmas gift to go with a stamp set and an Ed Emberley fingerprint drawing book (which was great!). This stamp pad arrived totally dried out, which is not surprising since the packaging is very flimsy and not air-tight at all. As other reviewers stated, adding water did not revive the ink. Even if it had worked, it would never have lasted very long since there is no way to seal the package properly.

How disappointing to open this on Christmas morning and find that not only does it not work, but that your other presents that need a stamp pad to play with can't be played with! Why would Santa do that! Was I "naughty"? (Luckily, my daughter got other presents that she adored and that kept her occupied while I "disappeared" the ink pad and stamps and book until I could get a stamp pad that worked, about a week and a half later. Other children aren't as privileged.)

Melissa & Doug have grown into a major toy company because of their (usually) well-made, innovative, back-to-basics toys. They should be embarrassed and ashamed to have their name on this product and should recall it and offer rebates to everyone who bought it. This tarnishes their brand reputation. I can't believe this product is still available for purchase!

This was almost completely dried out when I received it. I don't know if this is due to storage or shipping conditions, but I had to return it immediately. I have bought this in the store before and it was great, but this one was not good.

Two of the six colors have no color! The red and the purple pads are damp, but when stamped are so faded out you can't see them. Very disappointed!

I have ordered Melissa & Doug Jumbo Multi-Color Stamp Pad & Melissa & Doug Rainbow 6 Color Stamp Pad, thinking at least one of them should be working fine...

No, should have listen to the reviews... both of them come out dry! Wasted 15 USD for both of them.

Do not waste your time for thier ink/stamp pad... goes else where.
