This is one of the pricier hairball remedies (at physical stores, anyway), but it is my preferred remedy because it does not contain mineral oil or petrolatum. I always thought there was something off-putting about basically feeding my cats Vaseline, so I pay a little extra for this one and feel a little better about the ingredients.

I have two long-haired cats and during the summer, both of them have lots of hairballs. A little of this (I just force open their mouths and squeeze the tube until 1-2 inches of product falls in) works to reduce hairballs for quite awhile. I don't always remember to do this every day, but it seems not to matter -- I just give it to them when they start having hairballs and the problem goes away for a week or two (sometimes more).

My cats really seem to like the flavor of this. I guess it has a smell, too, because my two short-haired cats (who don't need this product) come over and try to eat out of the tube, also, when I'm treating the long-haired cats. At least it's not a horrible experience for the cats who do need it, I suppose.

Anyway, this has been effective for me and the cats don't hate it. Plus, I like the ingredients better than some of the competing products. Definitely recommended.
