I have the Samsung UN55D8000 which came with two pairs of SSG-3500 3D glasses however I usually have friends over so I decided to order two of these. The only difference between the 3700 and 3500 is the 3700's ability to be wirelessy charged on the CY-SWC1000A charging station, otherwise they are exactly the same. I did notice a little flickering in the lenses when sitting next to a window during daylight. This was easily fixed by pulling the curtains. Like every other active 3D glasses these do slightly darken the screen image however of all the others I've tried these are the lightest and least noticeable while wearing. I don't wear corrective lenses but the 3700's do come with accessories to adapt these to your glasses.
I've played Resistance 3 in 3D mode and these glasses add great depth to the game. I did notice some very slight ghosting while watching Thor in 3D however I can't attribute this effect solely on the glasses as I've only seen the movie on my TV.

First the good ...

These are probably the most comfortable 3D glasses I've ever worn. Admittedly, it's a bit like saying "That's the most enjoyable injection the doctor has ever given me", but these are extremely comfortable. The clarity and lifelike nature of the 3D images is intoxicating, particularly with Tron Legacy and Mortal Kombat (admittedly, we're not dealing with a deep bench here in terms of content, so hopefully there will be more stuff on the way).

Funtionally, pairing them with the TV was effortless (I think my bluetooth mouse was more work) and they are completely automated after that...the TV knows when you are watching 3D-enabled content and wearing the glasses...if you take them off to set them down and stroll in the other room to get a glass of water, it even seems to sense this and put the glasses to sleep and disengage the 3D display. It's pretty cool if you ask me.

We have tried roughly half of the 3D stuff we could get our mits on, video games, blu ray, and VOD/PPV and free stuff via DirecTV. It looks great (better in my home than in any demo kiosk I've seen anywhere, actually). It somehow makes the image not just come *out* of the TV, but (as it should) presents the impression that the TV is many times deeper, and that you are actually peering INTO a 3D world, rather than simply watching it bulge out nearer to your face from the screen. Given the current state of technology and the price point of these, I think I would give these 5 stars.

However, I ding two stars as I bought these SPECIFICALLY because to my knowledge no other model on the market allows for my prescription to be installed into the lenses. Though comfortable, they are not particularly glasses-friendly.

Purchased 2 pair of the 3700 series to go along with the 3100 series pair that came with my TV earlier this year. The 3700 pair is lighter, more comfortable, and did a great job at viewing 3D television. I've seen some other negative comments but can't understand what the issue is unless it's their TV, vision, or some other force working against them. Great glasses, works fine, and my only suggestion would be to shop around for price. I've seen the price swing by more than $50 on Amazon so watch for trends.

The Samsung SSG-3700CR 3D glasses are absolutely amazing! They fit right over your set of glasses and are so light weight you forget you're wearing them after awhile. I initially had a problem syncing them with the TV, but found that you have to complete this operation right after charging the glasses and stand very close to the TV. Once synced, the glasses worked flawlessly afterwards. A far cry from the old blue/red glasses, these things make watching 3D sporting events as exciting as if you were actually there. The only difference is your seat keeps changing from camera to camera so you always have the best angle and the best seat in the house!

I have had a similar but less responsive experience than the previous reviewer.
My responses from Samsung support have included:
Most often-Total confusion and no understanding of what I am talking about.
Take them to any optometrist-That doesn't work.
Contact Hoya Optics - Attempted by phone-out of town use email. Attempted by email-no response after two weeks.
Return glasses to Samsung, My supervisor will call within two hours with instructions. Still no call after 10 days.
Contact Hoya Vision-Their response-What?
I love the TV, but Samsung like most companies seems to be controlled by their Marketing Department. They may coordinate adequately with engineering and manufacturing, but Customer Support is completely independent, uninformed and useless. I have never had a satisfactory response from Samsung Support for any question about any product. They would be more useful if they had an automated response that said, "We appreciate that you have a problem but unfortunately we don't know the answer."

I bought this because the three pairs that came with the TV required coin cells. Three glasses are hardly enough, especially when neighbors kids land in. The ones that came with the TV are plastic frames. This one is partly metallic and though looks delicate will last longer. I have paired all of them together and they are compatible with my 46 inch D7000, the 2011 model.
These come with a manual which is very informative, the PDF of which is available from Samsung.
The first charge took about 3 to 4 hours. They charge from any USB port, PS3, TV, PC etc...
The glasses look cool and I like the design. After about 15 mins of wearing this I forgot I am wearing them.
