I have a lot of chemical sensitivities. Not only is this an effective solution that is less expensive than the brand, the inactive ingredients are better. I can't remember exactly, but one of the items is lower on the list and I think there may be less inactive ingredients. At any rate, it has really helped my IBS-C. I use it in conjunction with Digest Spectrum and GutPro. Together, it doesn't completely solve the problem, but it's significantly better! For me, works much better than laxatives or even fiber (which just bloats me more and doesn't move anything along).

When I rate a product, I try to consider both its value and the quality. It is rare to find both to exceed my expectations. This product does.

The Equate product is nearly identical to the much more expensive products, sometimes literally selling for 5-10 times the price. There really is not much point in the higher price because the active ingredient, Docusate Sodium, is the same and not expensive, so you are purely paying for the brand name.

It is like going to the store to buy table salt. Would you pay ten times as much to get the same salt? Of course not, at least without marketing to make you think it was better. You may pay a few pennies more, even 20 percent more, but not 10x the price.

Quality is sometimes a problem with some generic brands. Although that term is not the best term, because they are all generic, some just do more marketing. No one has the patent on the active ingredient and it has been used for decades.

Quality on this product is very high. Capsules are perfect, go down easy, not stuck together, etc. etc. It has an expiration date of about 2 years out. You can get a replacement free or a refund by just calling the 888 number on the bottle if you have ANY issues at all.

Fillers and other ingredients may be a concern, so definitely check this list out.

I have been on a diet, and I haven't been going regularly, about once every two weeks. Well finally I got sick of it, and I needed some relief. I took this around 7 pm with a cup of coffee. No pain occurred and around 2 pm the next day an hour after a cup of coffee I was relieved. No pain was involved I recommend these! Have some coffee take two of these and you will be good to go!

This is as good as the 'real' brand name medication. I spend many $$ buying the Brand Name then tried this as it was referred to me. Honestly, it works just as well as the high priced med. I take two caps twice a day and then a few caps of Psyllium husk through out the day. Have had a chronic problem that is now solved. It doesn't 'make you go.' but when you do go, it's simple, easy and painless. Bing, bang boom in the bathroom and done in a minute vs 20 minutes screaming and cursing.

I was started on stool softeners during a long hospitalization. I used to have so much trouble with regularity when we traveled. This product is just like the Name Brand one (in my body). Everyone is different so you may want to try a smaller quantity and then jump to the economy size. I take two capsules every night and add one or two to the morning routine when we are traveling. I have to keep things moving (especially when traveling) so I can see the sights and eat the wonderful variety of foods along the way.

You might want to check on the STRENGTH of the Stool Softner capsules. Equate makes two strengths and it might be wise to start out with the lower strength. This Capsule has a strength of !00mg and they also make a 250mg.

These capsules have been part of my evening pill regime for almost 5 years. Highly recommend!
