All the dishes arrived in one piece having been well packaged.
When I saw the first dish, honestly, I was underwhelmed, I thought I had really made a mistake.

However, once I put a full set out on the table and they were just gorgeous! They have such an unusual design and are very elegant. My set also came with a set of blue marbled Bormioli Rocco Murana glasses. The entire sets look very contemporary when placed next to each other.

It is such a pleasure to have a change in our kitchen with such a lovely set.

Update 2/26/14:
After using these for about a month now, I am totally in love with the unusual patterns and the rectangular shape. Also, they have held up very well. One dropped in the sink while I was rinsing it off and it didn't even chip. If it had broken, I would have taken full responsibility for my error.

UPDATE: 5/15/14:
I have been using this set for most of the year now. I also put them in the dishwasher, and I still do nit have one chip.
I still think this is an extraordinary set at a great price for this quality.

I get compliments on this from everyone that comes to dinner. I have decided these are "the" dishes (along with the 16oz Bormiloi Rocco Murana glasses in blue swirl) and I am ordering 8 more place settings.

I know I will never have 16 people over for dinner (I hope anyway <g>), but I never want to run out of these dishes, and dishes break.

Lovely and unusual pattern. Easily can fit more of this shape dinnerware in my cabinets as opposed to standard round shape. Have received many compliments as I have used this dinnerware in both casual and formal table settings. Nice weight to the plates. Amazon has the best price on this set.

I love these dishes. I wasn't sure about how they would look but now I understand why restaurants use white dishes. These dishes shine and food looks fantastic on it. My only complaint about the dishes is that when they arrived every piece had a Red Vanilla sticker on it and they were very stuck on. I had to use Goo Gone to get it off. Other than that these are wonderful. Take little space in the cabinet and fit in the dish washer nicely.

I ordered 2 sets of dishes and they arrived within 2 days of being ordered, which I found amazing. What I didn't expect was the HUGE box, almost 5 ft tall - with 2 dish boxes rattling around. I expected the dishes to be shattered but there was not one chip or crack!

The dishes themselves are very nice. Someone mentioned they were heavy - I have a problem with heavy dishes, even keep all my dishes on lower shelves because I have trouble lifting from shoulder height, and I don't have any problems with these at all.

The bowls are a little small, but they work ok since we are starting to pare down our portions anyway. They hold 2 cups of water if you fill the bowl to the brim. The small plates are a very nice size, I don't find them small at all. One piece of toast would fit snugly from side to side with room left at the top and bottom.

The mugs are great. They have a square-ish base and a round rim. This is important because I used to have a square set of dishes where the mugs were square at the top, and you couldn't drink from them normally unless you turned your wrist awkwardly and drank out of one of the corners. I don't think I would have bought this set if it had a square rim. That's why I got rid of my other set.

The plates are perfect. They fit much better than round plates on a placemat, and you could even place them longwise so there is plenty of room on either side for cutlery etc.

I love the pebbling design. I don't know why someone would think food would get stuck in the dimpling because they are very large pebbling and no different than any other design to get food from - and maybe even better.

All in all, great presentation on the table and I am very happy with them so far. I want to see how easily they chip. That will be the clincher for me. But it's nice to be able to buy these dishes for 1/3 of what they are offered for on the red vanilla company website.

The delivery was fast, the set is exactly what was described. However, each piece (I bought two) had a cheap "red vanilla" sticker which had to be soaked off and the residue removed with nail polish remover - it took about an hour to get all the stickers off before they could go in the dishwasher. Each piece is already stamped with the company information, so I'm not sure what the point of the sticker is.

My clients didn't love them. They said they looked & felt too much like golf balls. But I as the decorator was very happy with the style, size & quality. The worst part was there is an OBNOXIOUS sticker (about 3" long) on the front of EVERY SINGLE PIECE that took forever to remove. It was really just so unnecessary!

Super happy with this dinnerware set. As soon as I took them out of the box I was even more excited because they looked so good with our kitchen/dining room. Everything is beautiful in the right setting and I think I found the perfect dishes for me.

As far as quality they were exactly as expected. Good weight, not too heavy and easy to wash and store.
