After ordering it, I began to dread its arrival. I feared it would be "tiny"--smaller than I wanted. I want something large enough to handle a large salad for one or a normal salad for two. I also wanted something that would easily fit in the top rack of the dishwasher. This fits that bill to perfection. I already use this guy's bigger sibling and love it--except for being hard to put in the dishwasher. This guy is identical but about 25% smaller in all three linear dimension--hence about half the volume. Again, perfect!

This thing pays for itself just by spinning the water out of the salad.

It's great to have a good dry salad plus you can use the same bowl to (1) use as a salad bowl if you're the only one eating salad or (2) use as a serving bowl if you've got more than one eating salad. It's great.

THis mini spinner is just perfect for drying out smaller portions of vegetables or a bunch of herbs like cilantro.
It dries cut pieces of romaine lettuce in no time, sprigs of cilantro, rinsed broccoli, strawberries......especially great for drying out rinsed spinach leaves.....which are impossible to dry by hand.
Its great for just about anything!!

This is just perfect for a small family or anyone who wants to dry fresh herbs, fruit, etc. Just cut up your washed fruits and vegetables or just place your washed fresh herbs in the spinner. Spin and that's pretty much it. You can wipe out the exterior bowl and use it as your salad bowl if you are inclined.
After use, just give this a quick soapy wash and dry and that is pretty much it.
I have an older spinner (not OXO) which works o.k., but it is big and bulky and lacks the fluidity of this spinner.. This one stores conveniently in the kitchen because it isn't a space hog. I personally like using a spinner. It removes excess moisture which makes a crisper salad that can be stored longer and keeps fruits and vegetables from getting excessively mushy. Ditto when it comes to herbs.
