I guess I figured a down and feather pillow could never be too firm. But, I was wrong. Don't get me wrong, they're very nice pillows and, if you like your pillows firm, these are the ones for you. Unfortunately, they hurt my neck so I had to move them to the guest room. I ordered some other pillows from Amazon (not down, but very fluffy) and am happy. Hopefully, my guests will like firm pillows.

Here's the thing - I should have listened to the bulk of the 1 star reviews. These pillows are "fine". However, I was looking for a truly med-firm to firm pillow and this is not it. Already, we have a collection of other pillows of similar firmness that were much cheaper at T.J. Maxx and Marshall's. You should not pay more than $20 total for a pair of down pillows of this quality.

Again, they are "fine" and they will suffice. Yet, do not expect a truly med-firm pillow. If you are used to a down-feather pillow, you will not be fooled. These pillows are nice, soft, fluffy and THIN when you actually lay your head on them. My husband will be fine with them, but I am truly disappointed. Lesson learned.

When these arrived they were pancake flat, and while I shook and poofed and fluffed they never really filled out. When you lay on them your head just sinks to the bottom like in most cheap feather pillows. Ok so I thought now that I've opened the package and these things are mine I'll at least be able to use them as scrunch pillows and wad them up to make something somewhat supportive, but the feathers in the pillow make a loud crunching sound whenever bunching and shaping. BTW the packaging for the king pillow says 44oz of filling, not 45 like in the description. I certainly wouldn't buy these again if I had the chance.

It's hard to know how much fill is enough. These pillows are a little on the flat side. They are very soft and comfy, but I wouldn't call them medium. I would say soft.

They can be fluffed and they are very soft and supportive. Being King size, they are long and can be pushed into a ball, or in different shapes to suit the sleeper. Once you push them into the position you want, they stay that way. I sleep some on my back and some on my side, so it's hard to find a perfect pillow. These are thin enough to not give you a neck ache when on your back, but they can be shaped enough to be big enough for side sleepers.

The best pillows I've had in a long time.

I was expecting firm pillows when I ordered these. They are so far from firm that its unbelievable. I should have returned these as soon as I received them, I don't know why I didn't. I have been unable to find firm feather and down pillows and I was hoping these were the ones. I can't believe how flat these pillows actually are. If firm is what you want, DON'T order these as you will be sorely disappointed.

These pillows are really flat, but that is not why I returned them. They smelled so bad, I cannot believe it! I cannot even describe what the smell is like, all I can say is that both pillows smell terrible. This is the first time ever I return things from Amazon for bad quality since I started using Amazon in the late 90's. I am very surprised nobody else reviewed this product mentioned this, hopefully it was a fluke.

Bought these for my guest room. My sister-in-law used them, raved, and said she was going to order them, got the info and got them for herself. She's very choosy -- orders food in a restaurant with this on the side and don't put that on and be sure it's cooked well...etc. If she says they are good, they must be!! Nice to pamper guests for relatively low price....

First the items came in a flat box stacked on top of each other and they were completely flat so i threw them in the dryer and they fluffed up pretty good. For the price these are ok. They are not very thick so if you like fluffy you might want to put two in the case or stack them because when you lay on them they go flat. They do stay cool though and dont have feathers sticking out of them which is a plus.
