I put this on my 2003 Saturn Vue a little over a year ago. When I put it on the vehicle I thought the rubber bushing was super thin and it did not look near as well built as the one I took off the vehicle. Well, it lasted less than 12,000 miles.The bearing is fine but the paper thin rubber bushing is cracked and falling apart. With no rubber support the vehicle is unsafe to drive because of the terrible vibration.

I thought maybe the driveshaft must have been out of balance or something else caused this premature failure but my mechanic said it was a cheap carrier bearing plain and simple. The 2 driveshafts were fine.

I called Dorman to see about a replacement because it has a "Lifetime Warranty". Well Dorman does not honor a warranty to the consumer. You have to go to Amazon or the parts vendor you bought it from to get the warranty.

Well ... Amazon / parts vendors say you have to go to the manufacturer to get the replacement. What ?? I think I need some Vaseline because I'm out almost a hundred bucks and neither company will budge on this warranty issue.

I would not recommend Dorman products after having to deal with this nightmare. A huge company like this should put their reputation before trying to skimp a few bucks on consumers like me.

1 star is more than they deserve but 0 stars is not available.

I bought this at Amazon and took it to the local garage for installation in October 2013. My car had 95,000 miles. Well here it is 3 months and 4000 miles later and it is vibrating again. My mechanic said it was a defective center bearing again. Since Amazon said to contact Dorman for replacement, I called and was shocked to hear I had to get the replacement from Amazon. Amazon said "No Way" , go to Dorman. What a ripoff. The 2 posts above are right on the money. Dorman is a scam company with no customer service. I am surprised that Amazon even deals with this company. Run away from Dorman !!

I really feel sorry for you if you have to buy this part in the first place. It is kind of a bear to get this job done, so i suggest you have a garage full of tools and are somewhat mechanically inclined before tackling this job. But for the part its self dont hesitate to buy. High quality, perfect fit!

Great way to service the drive shaft. Comes with all the clips and stuff to do the job great. FYI mine took lots of heat to take apart but it is from Canada where they try to kill cars in 2 years with the ice melt they put on the roads.
