This product is excellent for SURFBOARDS, as labeled in the description, and looks pretty dope too. I'm purchasing another as we speak. My boards are as follows: 6'8'' x 21 x 2.5, 6'6'' x 19.5 x 2.5, 6'4'' x 21.5 x 2.65 and they fit perfect in my tiny bedroom with the fins installed. I also tested with my 7ft foamie and 8ft mini-mal, both 23 inches wide, fit just fine (which is why I need a second one now).
Please don't listen to these lazy ocean janitors who thought a 50lb water cabin would fit on this, they're as useless to amazon reviews as they are in the lineup. The quality is great and if you have any ounce of intuitive brain power you can install it in seconds. Let me elaborate on my opinions (sorry SUP'rs, that's a grown up word for 'adding details in writing', take some Advil, you'll be okay):
"Need to send back put inflatable paddle board on and it broke. Just wanted to avoid having to deflate and reinstall during the SUP season... I wish it would have worked."
-Were you giving yourself 2 stars? What made you think a dump truck of the sea would fit on it to begin with? It was clearly stated on August 17th, 2015 by the seller that "The rack is designed for surfboards and isn't built to handle larger and wider sup's", and you purchased yours on September 23, 2015.......Are you Benjamin Button? Does linear time go in a different direction for you? At least you SUP'rs are consistent, never paying attention and ruining things designed for surfboards. Furthermore, how do you deflate then reinstall a SUP? Is there an integrated motherboard running an operating system? What is a "SUP Season"? Do you guys gather around a fire in the woods during winter, urinate into plastic jugs and throw them on each other?Read more ›

This rack is totally jenky despite the positive reviews. It fits our boards just fine, but came out of the box totally beat-up. Also, while the divot at the end of the arm does give you display options, it looks awkward if placed in your home - prob less of an issue if this is for garage use. Either way, I don't recommend.
