So, I had this sub for a year. I feel like I should at least do a review on it. Actually, I really miss this thing. I had it hooked up to a SSL 3000 watt monoblock amp and let me just say, this thing will make your ears ring. Guaranteed. Great for the price and as long as you run it with a reliable amp, it will last you a while. I do not recommend cranking the amp to maximum input volume, however, as this is how I blew two different SSL amps (under warranty). I'm kinda curious how a power acoustic amp would hold up... hmmm. Well, this thing bumps, and two of these in any car will piss off the whole neighborhood. :)

Good budget sub. Lost a star because they're overrated on power. Eventually had to recone it, but it's way better now. Give it no more than 900-1000rms and ur good. One sub in a custom box kills all my friends' expensive subs.

Final installation: I placed my sound system in the basement with the subwoofer within 3 feet of the corner of the wall and facing the corner and it sounds better than the 60 cubic feet bandpass. I remember when I literally went inside the 60 cubic feet bandpass and turned on the music the lows around 30 hertz sounded strange like it was distorted and didn't sound loud or clean and there was a peak around 50 hertz. But as I walked away the 30 hertz frequency spot started getting louder. Also, at the distance where 30 hertz started sound better, the mid bass 40hz and up started decreasing so that the frequency response was way uneven. So in general, building an 8th order bandpass is a bad idea. Put these subwoofers in a ported box with volume around 4 cubic feet for each subwoofer and tuned to around 30 hertz. The place the box in the corner of a room for best results. And I do not recommend putting this 15" in a vehicle unless you know your city's noise disturbances laws.

Old update:
Haven't even put it in a box yet and I can tell this is going to be a good subwoofer. I haven't even put this subwoofer in a box yet and it gets louder than my bose acoustimass. If you can hear a subwoofer when it's free airing that must mean when you put it in the box it will be deadly loud. The suspensions are so stiff that it takes like 30 pounds of weight on the cone to bottom it out. The motor force is very powerful and its like impossible to stop the cone from moving when its playing no matter how hard you try. I never had a subwoofer like this before. When my second mofo 15", flared ports, and 1500w crown amp comes I will do the review and I will probably get my mind blown away.

Vary surprised, I have a jl audio 1100 watt RMS amp running it. The JL amp will push this sub to distortion. But there is no need to push that hard. It has a vary clear and tight sound, hits hard real hard, for the price you can't go wrong.

Although these woofers are meant for car audio, I purchased 4 of them for home theater use; I can say they perform very well. If you are looking for a bargain deal for real bass output, you can't go wrong with these woofers.

This Sub sounds amazing in my Malibu. Built a 4 cubic foot ported box and pushing it with one channel on a Boss Phantom PT3000. The lows are great and hits harder then almost any two 12's I've heard. Considering giving up my entire trunk to add another. Highly recommend

I'm running one of these in a single cab f250 on a power acoustic 5150 amplifier and it bumps HARD to say the least. I'm actually very surprised how inexpensive it was. I highly recommend this sub to anyone looking to upgrade their car audio. I'll be adding a few more in the future once I get motivated to build a blow through subwoofer enclosure.
