nice case and does what it is supposed to do well but...... you know the plastic sandwich cases you buy for your kids to take to school (two piece boxes that have the outline of sliced bread...)? They can be had for $1 or $2 and, in my opinion, do the job just as well If you find them at the $ store, you can buy ten for the price of one Hoppe case....

This is a quality product that stores any caliper Hoppes BoreSnake nicely. Honestly speaking this case is not absolute necessary but I like to have the right gear when doing something. The case is solidly constructed for what it is designed to do and the zipper is smooth and looks like it will last a lifetime with proper care. The clear plastic clamshell that my BoreSnake shipped with could serve as a temporary storage case but would not stay snapped together after several uses. I will buy again when needing to store a different caliber BoreSnake.

If you use and like how your older Hoppe's BoreSnakes or newer BoreSnake Vipers, after you finished using it, you probably would have wadded it up and dropped it into a zip-lock bag. And after you put it in your washing machine (while your wife was gone, shopping at the Mall) to remove the old gun cleaner, gun oil, and accumulated crud removed from your firearm by the BoreSnake, and hung it in the garage to dry completelybefore putting it back in your range bag, you could put a rubber band around it (to identify it as a clean BoreSnake) and stuff it into a clean zip-lock bag. BUT NO MORE!! The Hoppe's BoreSnake Zippered Storage Case provides you with an attractive, easy to use, easy to take with you in the field (for a quick clean-up of your firearm when the shooting is over), functional case in which you can store one or more BoreSnakes (depending on the caliber or gauge of your firearms). Is it more expensive to buy and use a Hoppe's BoreSnake Zippered Storage Case than several plastic zip-lock bags? Well, sure it is. But if you ever reached into your range bag for a baloney and cheese sandwich in a zip-lock bag, in a dark duck blind, and found, to your dismay, that you were trying to take a bite out of your BoreSnake instead, the price difference quickly becomes irrelevant. And, you won't have to put up with your hunting buddies re-telling the story, over and over, of the morning you decided to go on a BoreSnake diet! It's a great product that keeps another great product clean when you need it and under control the rest of the time.

This is a helpful product that has left me with very few complaints. I initially purchased one to size it out and see what I think of the product. It is a little pricey for what it is, so didn't want to commit to too many right away. It was a little larger than I anticipated, but was a good fit for my 12 gauge BoreSnake. It also comes with a plastic pull handle to assist with pulling through those more stubborn bores. Like several other reviewers, I wish there was a more convenient way to label these cases for the individual calibers, as I have since ordered 5 more to round out having a case for each BoreSnake I own. However, I used a metallic silver Sharpie to label mine. Some other reviewers have said that the same objective can be accomplished by simply using a Ziploc baggie. That is true, but the wire brushes kept tearing up my baggies. All in all, this is a good product as long as you don't mind going through the extra expense.

Absolutely love these little cases. Just wish Hoppe's would get with the program and simply sell the cases with the snake of your choice by default! I hate all the packaging waste, and that's got to shave 5-10$USD off the total price right? ;D

This seems expensive for what you get, but the case is well made, actually fairly stiff and not thin or flimsy material. The included pull handle is a nice bonus and it may be enough to get me to order another few of these for my other calibers.

Bought two of these items to put my two different Hoppe's BoreSnakes in - Probably could have fit both in one - but not real worried about it - plan on buying a silver paint pen and marking the outside with 9mm and .45 respectively so I know which one's in which without having to open it. Works as it's supposed to, it's a case. : ) Made well - zipper seems to be made well and should hold up. We'll as as time goes by!

I found the Hoppe's BoreSnake to be well-made --- right in line with Hoppe's reputation for quality products. It is attracive and well - suited for storing the unyieldy 'Snakes. I did find two rather minor problems; at least for me. First: It would be advantageous to be able to label each case as to caliber.
Second: Variation in size would be nice also. The 10 guage shotgun 'Snake has to be crammed in stretching the case to the limit while the .22 caliber pistol hardly uses a fraction of the space.
All in all I'm glad I bought the cases and would recommend them to anyone who might be comtemplating in purching them.
