This is just as lovely in person as the picture depicts. A couple things not mentioned in the description (but that should be) are that the stand is 10" across and is mirrored. Also, it comes in two parts and the base gets screwed onto the top. Being an overly cautious person I chose to glue (I used "Goop" glue found at most craft stores and home improvement stores) the two parts together for added strength as I was putting a 3 tier wedding cake on it and didn't want to take any chances. It worked beautifully and help up great.

The only problem I really had was that it took for-ever to get the stand. 3 1/2 weeks to be exact. So why did I still give it 5 stars you may ask? Because, I am reviewing only the item itself, not the shipping but I still felt I needed to mention you may want to order far enough in advance if ordering it for a special event.

For the price, I really like the look of this. It's really sturdy. We used it for our 8" decoration wedding cake. It would probably look better with a 9" cake, and would probably work for a 10" as well, based on how much space we had.

I bought the silver before, I arrived well packaged but not in a box that could be reused as it is not the strongest. But it arrived with all the pieces and the set up was a breeze. So I was hosting a party and wanted to use gold so I just knew I had to buy the stand. NO regrets. I used it to display an 6 inch cake but you could go as big as a 8 inch.

I couldn't be any happier with this purchase. The shipping was as expected and the item was well wrapped, so there was NO breaks or dents (very important). The cake stand has plastic crystals that look pretty not tacky at all, and the paint is well done. I have seen a lot of pictures of this type of cake stand (other colors) on pinterest from a few professional cake businesses. I got to say that other cake stands out there are a heck of a lot more expensive and don't even look as beautiful as this one does. I would purchase again from this vendor.
