This meter is far from accurate when compared with bench reference equipment in the exact same installation both in SWR and power. It read an SWR of 3+ when the bench reference showed 1.6 and power showed 1.2 W when the bench reference showed 2.7W. Also the lead labels are reversed. It will not work connected according to the labels (Tx and Ant) You have to connect the antenna to the TX side and the radio transmitter to the Ant side for it to work at all. The problem is that this unit is sold under many different manufacturer names, but manufactured by only one, so the problem is likely to exist with all units that look exactly like this no matter what the brand. Not sure why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. Maybe because it is better than nothing at all.

Quality build on this SWR meter for CB radio frequencies. Nice compact design and good functionallity. Do not use this meter for radios other than the 27 Mhz CB radios, as it was not meant for higher frequency applcations. Never use without your antenna hooked up, and be sure that your antenna is mounted correctly on your car roof, providing a proper ground plane, as this definitely affects the effective 50 ohm impedance matching and a proper Standing Wave Ratio.

This is a good quality meter. I tuned up my cb antenna with this and my receive and transmit is much better with my homemade dipole antenna. Some have complained about the meter. You must hold this one steady or the meter will bounce around. I have an MFJ one for VHF/UHF and it does as well if you shake it at all. Friend also tested with a Yeasu HF swr analyzer and got the same readings so I would say it is accurate. I would buy again if I needed another.

This unit was a lot smaller than what I thought it would be, which was a good thing. It does what it's intended to do and helped me tune my CB antenna and the instructions are clear on how to use the meter. One thing that is needed and not included though is a jumper cable to connect the unit to the radio. For the price, it's worth it - but make sure you also pick up the jumper cable.

It works as intended and definitely recommend for hobbyist like me and look for affordable SWR meter.
I hope this comes with the jumper cable. Anyways I made my own jumper cable anyways not biggy and can't complain for its price.
Definitely would buy again if needed.

So I ordered my first one and it came in broken but I reordered it and got another one and it seems to work fine I mean it does the simple purpose of an SWR meter when your radio is simplistic and doesn't have one so if you want something basic and cheap I would say get this one if you want something super expensive go find another one this works I can't say anything else because it works perfectly for me now

Worked right out the box..

1) Tuned my truck 5' Firestik II real fast on my old CB rig.. got it to SWR 1.2 on channel 40 and SWR of 1.3 on channel 1.. good enough for me..

2) I have the Firestik 4' NGP kit (no ground plane) as well on my mobile home.. and with its preset 18' of special cable this will not give you good SWR numbers when connected in-line.. I ended up using my Galaxy radios SWR meter/switch for this tuning..

Again for REGULAR antennas this works great (see #1).. if using NGP antennas.. you can't use this or you will get HIGH SWR readings..

The power meter works as well.. don't know how accurate but on the old truck radio is said what the display meter said as far as watts..
