You just gotta have one on the boat, with a spare prop, cotter pin, pliers, and an extra lock nut.

I have been trying to figure out what prop is best for my boat so I have used this several times in the past few weeks. It works great to swap props quickly. My one wish is that it could float by itself...it does not. So, I added a key float to the hole on the bottom and it is very light so mine will float now.

It is plastic so don't use it for a rusty or stuck nut. This is just to keep on the boat for those rare times when you need to swap props. perfectly adequate for the task at a great price.

Put this on the prop nut, gave it a good turn and the inside of the wrench stripped within 10 seconds and did not even loosen the nut. I was afraid the prop nut was seized to cause the wrench to strip the way it did. I bought a steel socket from the local hardware store and the nut came off with no problem. I returned the wrench, what ever plastic/nylon material it is made out of is not strong enough.

Good prop wrench. I used it to pop the nut off and replace my prop on my Johnson HO without issue, and it's lightweight and easy to throw in the battery compartment in case I need it on the water.

Works OK and I will keep it in the boat in case of an emergency. Maybe I'm being to critical, but it seems to pop off the nut when trying to tighten, a socket wrench works much better.
