The first things I do when I buy a bottle of this freeze dried oregano is to open the lid and take in the scent. It has a rather strong scent of oregano to it, a good starting point!

I have found the Litehouse family of freeze fried herbs to do pretty well in recipes (some are better than others). This is one of the better products in this line. This, the garlic, and the basil tend to be my favorites among the Litehouse products.

A nice simple discussion of how to prepare the oregano for proper use is very helpful. The only ingredient is freeze dried oregano, so no distressing additives are present.
