Better than new!

The picture of this shade did not do it justice. It has a lovely linen texture that shows well in the light. The ribbons on the edges look like grosgrain. I had read that when replacing a lampshade, you should find a shade that has the same side length as the original. I followed that formula and it's perfect. I also replaced the cord and sockets on my two lamps, so made them look better than new with an upgrade to 150-100-50 watt bulbs for less than $30 each! I am delighted!

We needed this shade for a long time...

Our old paper shade was probably 40 years old
and turning very brownish in color.
This shade really lights up the room well.
It looks good and the metal frame is exceptionally
thick wire so it is of very sturdy construction.
Well made and am pleased. Perfect shade
for our use.

Light up my life

Good product. Item delivered is the same as item pictured . Replaces a lamp shade that was older and brown with a nice bright white light. It does not have a dimpled wire frame which makes it difficult to keep the shade centered on the glass chimney but we'll figure out a solution.

Pretty white shade

This shade is a brighter white than expected. It appears of good quality and the listed dimensions. However, in replacing a shade with a more traditional, tapered shape, I misjudged the size I needed. Advise doing a paper mock -up first. Also, it did not come with the harp as listed. I will return it. The customer service has been very responsive, trying to find a good replacement, and offering a refund.

Nice plain lamp shade

I ordered a set of these to replace two shades I let go of in my last move. They look great with my new furniture and also atop the lamps they were purchased for. Only draw back is that they ship from Lamps Plus and their shipping is pretty steep in my opinion. Another drawback is for those who wan/need them shipped to FPO/APO addresses, you'll need to order directly from the Lamps Plus website and shipping that route is even more expensive! However, if there's someone to forward them onto you from a stateside delivery from Amazon, they're worth the wait and the shipping cost.
