Of course its not as good as the professional bars in gyms. The clowns that complain about the bend and the lack of bearings on the rollars should have shelled out the required $50 -$100. Its not that complicated, you put weights on the ends, lift and repeat. The bend is fine, tricep extensions, curls and reverse curls all performed without issue. The rollars are loose but does not affect the performance.
Great bar for the price.

This is an incredibly bad curl bar for two reasons. There is not enough bend in the bar, so it is almost as hard on the wrists as a straight bar. The second reason is there are no bearings in the rollers on the end of the bar, so the rollers that hold the olympic weights wobble badly.

I have lots of Cap equipment, and this is the best Cap barbell I've used. I think the other reviews indicate what I've long known - Cap isn't very consistent in their product quality. But my EZ Curl bar is exactly what I needed and wanted. It's well-balanced, the sleeves are just mobile enough, the bar's bend is just right. If you're doing triceps extensions or curl variations, this is a good buy. It's not of the same quality as a more expensive product, but it's good. Does the job, as they say.

I have a few things to nitpick, so listen up:

-The collars that came with it are unwieldy and heavy. Spring collars are faster and lighter. Buy them and chuck the screw collars.
-The knurling on my bar is extremely rough - rough enough to injure your skin with heavy sets. Tape the grip or be ready for potential pain.
-The chroming is a little cheap - rough use will lead to chrome flaking off the bar.

These are expected issues with Cap products, so just prepare for them and this bar will do you fine. I've had un-balanced Cap barbells before, so check the balance when the bar comes. The easiest way to do this is to set it on a sawhorse and see if it stays mostly level when you balance it right at the center of the bar. If not, send it back and order another one. FYI, my Cap EZ Curl bar is balanced just right.

Excellent curl bar with handsome chrome finish and knurled hand grips. The solid steel curl bar is heavy duty and has a compact length of about 4'(48"). Also, 2" diameter collars are included in the price, however I recommend 'spring collars' instead of the 'ring collars' so as not to damage the chrome plating. The 4' length allows you to add a substantial amount of 2" weight plates yet doesn't take up much space in your work-out center or gymnasium. Yes, there IS a substantial difference in a curl bar(versus a straight bar for enhanced bicep development) and I am very pleased and I highly recommend this to complement your other exercise equipment! Overall a great bar at a great price with super-fast shipping, thank you Amazon!

Free shipping. Arrived fairly quick for free shipping. Actually got what is pictured. Also got the collars as pictured. But the package did arrive with a hole in it. I was worried it might be damaged, but it wasn't. Don't know if the hole was from them packing or shipping. Fits my 2 in plates just fine. The ends where the plates go on do swivel all around which doesn't bother me much. Haven't weighed the bar not that I really care, but it's pretty sturdy just like any other ones at a gym.

Overall good product for the money compared to others. Definitely would buy again.

The EZ Curl Bar is a decent entry or home gym bar. Upon close inspection you can tell that the quality is not top notch, but it is sufficient for the price point (chrome and knurling areas look mediocre). I use this bar with the CAP Barbell 2-Inch Olympic Grip Plates and Spring Clip Collars. The collars that are included are cheap and I would recommend buying something better if you regularly use collars. The bar has a very solid feel and weighs about 15 lbs.
