Bought the slipstick 3in bed risers over a month ago. So far it is working great. My husband and I were worried how it would hold up with weight and movement, but it's working great. The pad inside the groove is also helpful to keep it from moving and doesn't cause any sounds (e.g., squeaking). Also, I went for the 3in cause I thought the typical ones I saw of 5-6in might make the bed too high, but actually a 5in might not be that bad. Remember to account for the loss of some space when you place the bed legs into the groove. It still gives me enough space though to put those underbed plastic storage boxes so I'm okay with it, but that's why there's 1 star less because technically its a little less than 3in.

These little guys have been holding up a metal bed frame, a queen box spring mattress, the heaviest queen mattress (pillow-top) I have ever owned, myself, and my boyfriend (although our combined weight is under 300lbs) for about a month now. The rubber no-slip grip is an excellent touch considering past frames have scooted around within the base of previous risers. No risers look pretty - this color is less noticeable with my metal frame and wood floors, but I use a bed skirt to hide it all. Although it's hard to tell if there is a problem with risers until there is a problem, this is certainly a very sturdy set & thus far hasn't given any indication of strain.

These looked like a decent design but one cracked and broke through the top within days. I heard the cracking instantly, hoped it was nothing, a day later one broke. The irony is these say Heavy Duty!

I ordered 2 sets of these to raise my queen size bed in the guest room. Thank goodness I tested them out first before my company arrived. The risers gave way and one side of the bed collapsed. Now I'm fighting with customer service because they've only refunded me for 1 set. NOT AS DESCRIBED!!!!! No mention of not being able to use on carpet.

I had lots of concerns about this product when I first purchased it. There were many reviews that made me nervous about these risers breaking in the middle of the night. My wife and I have been using them now for about 2 months, without any problems at all! I bought two packs of the stands, per the manufacture recommendation for a King bed, and used just 6 of the 8 we received. At first, it seemed a little unsteady, but once we got the box spring and mattress on there, my worries went away. I have never felt once that the bed was going to topple over, or fall on these risers. This gives us the extra storage space we need! I highly recommend you try these out!

UPDATE: Without getting graphic, we did have one of the risers break while we were having a "little fun" one night! The front middle one did snap and lost support. Luckily the rest of them still did their job and supported the bed. I had a spare one, since the king bed only used 6 of them, and they come in packs of 4.

I bought this not because I wanted to raise my bed. I bought this hoping that the bed will not shift when I am sleeping, because I have a wooden floor in my bedroom. The description says "The special non-slip rubberized coating on the bottom of each riser will prevent any scratches to your floors.". I'm not sure what this means as yes it does not make scratches to my floor, but it doesn't totally prevent my bed from shifting. The bed is harder to shift now, but it still slips when I push the bed gently.

Also, watch out if your bed is at the corner. The cone will most likely be wide enough to make gaps between your wall and the bed frame.

I looked for sturdy 3" risers for quite a while. These are just right! The new bedskirt just brushes the carpet like I hoped. They are not seen under the bed, as they sit back several inches from the bed frame. Another great product from Amazon!

The description claims they can hold up to 500 pounds. I weigh less than 200 pounds and I sat on the corner of the bed and one completely broke in half and caved in. Now that it's broken, I can see the construction is very thin plastic.
