I'm about to order a third AquaPod to replace the one I just used during Hurricane Sandy. We lose water when our electricity goes, and we have had three multi-day outages at our home since August 2011. We've gone four days straight using the water stored in the AquaPod for drinking, cooking, and dishwashing, and we still had quite a bit of water left when the power came back on.

It's unfortunate that the liner bags can't be reused, but better safe than sorry. I'm ordering the "deluxe" set with three bags so at least I'll be able to reuse the pump.

With luck we won't need the next AquaPod anytime soon, but you never know! We'll keep one on hand at all times in our disaster kit.

My neighbor told me to get this before hurricane Isaac hit and I didn't listen to him. Fortunately, the hurricane wasn't that bad and he shared some water with me and my family. Not only am I sold on it, it was really cool to see that you can buy extra liners on the company's website. I have seen some comments on here about the plastic being thin or bacteria growing...the bag is intended to be disposable after a single use and anyways, mold would still grow in thicker plastic. I don't know about you, but I would rather buy an American made product and spend $10 for another bag that works with pieces I already have than risk scrubbing a dirty tub or possible bacteria trying to reuse any type of bag.

I bought this thinking it was three complete kits for use with three tubs at once. It is not! It is one complete kit with two extra tub liners. They really should make this clear in the description.

I returned it to Amazon and got a complete refund so I can't complain about the seller. But I just wanted to pass it on to others who are contemplating the purchase.

I actually had to use this about a month ago for a tsunami scare, and it held up to storing an entire bathtub worth of water. The only issue I had was that the cork supplied was to small so I was unable to close it up after filling it up other than putting the pump on the end and propping it up. Other than that though this is a must for emergency preparedness.

A little pricey for one time use, but this past season we have had multiple power outages it was great to have a large supply of water. While there would be no way to clean it is pricey for a throw away. Will do the job and ordered to replace the old one.

Living in a rural area with above ground electric lines, it's not uncommon to lose power. Being on our own well, losing power means losing water. We have a generator to keep the pump working but you can't just leave it on all day; this will let us run the generator, fill the bags and not run out of water. It will also let us run the generator for other things like refrigerator and freezer.
