I almost bought a steam cleaner at twice the price of the Vapamore MR-100 Primo, but decided to try the less expensive Vapamore and can attest that it is a good machine for the money. At half the price of a competitive product, you may have to buy extra brushes (which I ordered right away from the factory), but you can buy a lifetime supply of spare brushes and still not spend as much as $700 total for the effect.

As other reviewers noted, the steam cleaning makes a high pitched noise, so ear protection is recommended if you plan to clean for a half hour or more. This machine does an excellent job on glass, ceramic, wood and tile, but not so great on stainless steel.

As far as carpet cleaning, it is good with small areas; I would not use it for wall-to-wall carpet, but area rugs clean up nicely, especially small stains. If you have cheap carpet, you may not get good results. Wool carpet and good acrylic carpet clean up well.

The smaller nylon brush tip was crushed after one use, so I ordered extra. The larger brush is much stronger, and the squeegee attachment is awesome.

Overall, I am pleased with the results. Go to the dollar store and get some microfiber rags to use as wiping cloths and you can also use ordinary microfiber mop pads you can get at the drug store or dollar store to attach to the floor grid/upholstery grid. Don't waste your money on the factory-made pads.

Where do I begin with what I love about this steamer?! I work full time and also bake wedding and birthday and celebration cakes on the side. I was looking for a machine that would clean quickly and deeply and be able to cut through the sugary and greasy film that seems to settle over my home, especially my kitchen and family room that is adjacent to my kitchen. When I received the machine, I immediately started in the kitchen. I was amazed at how the greasy and sugary areas just melted away, and the areas were just left completely clean, with no sticky residue that all the other spray cleaners had left before! I loved the smooth surface squeegee attachment for the fronts of my cabinets, walls and my countertops! They also are prone to a lot of sticky build up, and again, it just took a few swipes of the steamer, and all the layers of stickiness disappeared. This type of cleaning is addictive! I have done every appliance and area in my home, just going room to room. I cannot believe the difference in the cleanliness of my home! I would and will recommend this cleaner to everyone I know! It is well built, I was very impressed when I went to open the cap to fill it for the first time, you can tell that it is made with top of the line construction. I agonized for weeks over which steamer to buy. I researched every model and brand and read everything I could about what made a good steamer. In the end, I chose the Vapormore MR-100 PRIMO model because it had a stainless steel boiler instead of aluminum and it also had been given great reviews. It also has a lifetime warranty, as long as you only fill it with distilled water, which I am more than happy to do. Again, I am so pleased with this machine, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a trustworthy and well made dry vapor steam machine! [...]

I bought this steam cleaner with the intention of cleaning my kitchen tile grout and maybe removing the calcium deposits on my bathroom shower doors. Overall, the steam cleaner performed adequately. It heated relatively quickly and was easy to maneuver. My issues with it are:

A) The water tank is a little small (I had to refill my tank 3-4 times to get through my kitchen which is around 300 sqft);
B) It kind of takes awhile for the unit to cool down before you pop open the water tank cover and refill (but I think the same is true for all steam cleaners);
C) The 3-part plastic tubing that connects the trigger handle to the floor unit (where the steam comes out) is woefully weak and wobbly. When I connected the 3 parts
it was only held together by some stopper knobs. By the time I finished using the unit 4 hours later, the tubing parts were kind of loose and wobbly already.
It's not nearly as stiff and tough as I think it should be especially since you have +150 degree steam shooting out of the end.
D) The unit does get kind of hot after continual use. The body gets a little hot as well as the 3-pc tubing;
E) The floor accessories (i.e. grout nib, tile nib, etc) that the unit comes with look good in the beginning but after a few hours being exposed to super-hot steam,
the bristles starts to loose it's shape and become slightly melted. I had to throw 2 of my nib accessories away after using it for the weekend because it had
permanently melted into one gigantic plastic knob;
F) This unit is LOUD while in operation. I had to put my ear-buds in and turn my iPod to maximum to try to drown out the noise. Everyone had to leave the room because they couldn't take
level of noise it generated.Read more ›

Don't know about the other 2 listings for this same unit, but I ordered mine from this Amazon vendor. Unit arrived well packed and I went to work cleaning my large 3 burner plus IR 42" stainless steel propane grill as part of an needed overhaul. Grill has seen many years of service and had caked on grease/carbon that have proven to resist normal grill cleaning. Plus needed some new igniter electrodes that were hidden under the grime. So time to bring out the big guns! The MR-100 took a few minutes to setup and get steaming. Note: unit needs distilled water or you void the warranty. Also, print a copy of your order to send in with the warranty card.

Back to the MR-100. How did the MR-100 do? It removed all of the grease and most of the hard burnt on stuff. Most came off with not much more than a pass over the area with the included brass brush accessory and a wiping down with paper towels. Some needed extra effort and a soaking with oven cleaner spray before steaming the area. Now looking for other hard jobs to tackle. Most other household jobs are simple compared to my dirty old grill test. Anyone interested could clean a dirty engine the same way.

Do look at the other reviews for the MR-100 at other listings for more details. But to the person that claimed little steam output - there's a knob on the front of the unit to increase/decrease the amount of steam. Steam at full volume has very strong output and is very hot. Maybe not as much as a professional multi-thousand $ machine, but what do you except for a few $100's?
