I have bought these at big box stores(rhymes with canards) for $13, and really like them. I garden and I like to build stuff. They are not sensitive or grippy, so don't use them for weeding, or fine motor skill stuff. But for working with rocks and landscape cement items, with shoveling, or other long handle tools, very good. These breakdown at the sideseams of the fingers, the facing surfaces wont wear through. there is a soft part on back of thumb to wipe your face with. I have largish women's hands, and mediums are great. I haven't found any women's gloves that hold up like these, and I have tried a lot.

The boyfriend really likes these gloves because they are protective without being big and bulky. They are definitely not the toughest out there but as they are labeled "Landscaper" gloves, he uses them for much tougher jobs than landscaping. Not the highest grade of work glove, but about medium grade. Also, the gloves run about one size small. If you normally wear Large, get X-Large.

I have stacks of yard work gloves that either don't fit well or don't protect my hands. I wear a women's 6.5 glove with very long fingers; the medium fit me like it was made for me. I just spent 8 hours pulling and cutting dead rose cane and I don't have a scratch on me. I also had the flexibility with these gloves to use cutting and pruning tools. I could open trash can lids and roll kraft bags down....things I could not do with a heavier, stiffer glove.

I am very pleased with these gloves and will be getting rid of a lot of less worthy ones.

Just wanted to echo what has been said previously about these gloves. I picked up a pair and they seem like very well made gloves and I expect they will do a fine job for my backyard projects. I typically buy "large" gloves and other things having a little above normal sized hands, but not huge. The extra large fit perfectly, glad I did not get the large like I initially thought I should.

If these came in XXL I would give them 5 stars since, as others have mentioned, they are cut small. I do have big hands, but usually I am OK if I buy the largest size available. As they are the saddle between each finger sits about 1/2" above my actual hand, and the wrist of the glove, which is cinched in, is about 1/2 to 3/4" above my actual wrist. It is the wrist that makes the gloves more uncomfortable.

Aside from the fit they are great gloves. They are sturdy, the palms are nice and reinforced, and I love the terry cloth wipe over the thumb. They do seem designed for landscaping, not general work like everything else, which is why I am so disappointed that I ultimately will not work for me.

These work good for their described purpose. I got the X-large size- currently their largest size here on Amazon. They were just a little small for me, though I can still use them. I have large hands, but not overly meaty or construction worker/weightlifter hands. If you do have large meaty hands, these will be a bit restricting for you. The quality and craftsmanship is spot on however.

Some of the best work gloves I've ever used. Got a pair for working in the yard; these protect quite well against rocks, sticks, and even rose bush thorns. I have been using the first pair for a couple of years, and went ahead and purchased two more pairs to ensure I would have some for years to come. I have washed them and they didn't appear to shrink, and moving several cinder blocks did not damage them. Well worth the price and great protection for yardwork.

I've been looking for some good landscaping gloves for a while and I just couldn't find anything worth buying at the big hardware stores. I bought size XL and they fit comfortably. The padding on the palm is durable without being so heavy duty that you can't move your hand. The mesh outer is also high quality and is just light enough to not get too hot on very warm days.
