I bought the size large for my TALL/slender Dobe. The tail(which is shown to protrude FURTHER than the dogs tail.... stopped halfway up my guys back!!! AND the very THIN strap(which should be wide to be more comfortable for the doggy)which was supposed to fasten around his tummy was up in his armpits! TOO SMALL!!!! The large size guide on the package states it will fit a Goldie,Lab,Weim....I think NOT.
The upside is...If you have a chubby pup,it should still fit. even though the strap was pulling up high in my Dobermans armpits,there was still extra strap and he is very deep chested.
The hat fit tight and he did not like it at all.(he has cropped ears)

** I noticed the different colors/sizes? Well the size large I received was a Hammerhead shark and my order was blue,but it looked just like the photo. I noticed the size Med was offered in Grey and the Smalls offered in "as shown" which I presumed to be charcoal. I wouldn't worry about the color. It looks accurate and it's well made. Some reviewers mentioned the white showing on the belly. Yep, sharks have white ventral and dark dorsal sides.

Very cute costume for a shorter bodied and PUDGY ;-) dog!

The body of this costume fits my dog just fine, but the hammerhead "hat" slips all over the place. My dog's head is no smaller than the pug's in the picture, but as soon as he moves it starts slipping. Perhaps a better design would attach the hammerhead to the neck of the shark body to prevent side-to-side slippage. On the plus side, my dog still looks adorable even without the "hat".

If you can get your dog to wear it, it's hilarious. It came in a package that had it smushed pretty flat, but it has opened up.

The had comes off pretty easy, but you can just stitch it to the costume body to keep it stable.

We bought the large size for our 45 pound mutt. We followed the instructions to let her ears have holes in the headpiece, but the hat constantly fell off. We did manage to get a few pics in before we gave up on the costume. Lesson: dogs shouldn't wear costumes. Well, maybe for just a few minutes...

I'm one of those people that torture my cat with costumes. He's been a leprechaun, cat skelington, a bandito, and among others, old cat Kringle on Christmas so I have an idea of what size costume to get him. But with shark week coming, he needs to be a shark but this costume came in too big.

If you know what size to get your cat, get this one a size smaller.

I got it for a 25 lbs pug and it fit well, but it was a blue shark and not a grey hammerhead shark. I would put a picture here if I was allowed.

My dog is about 45 pounds, she is a small lab mix and the costume was too small to fit on her. I gave the costume to my cousin and he put it on his corgie and the large costume just fit on her.

If your dog is over about 30-35 lbs the large costume will probably be too small.

I would recoment this costumn to a dog who doesn't mind playing dress-up. The costumn runs a little big. (I got the small) The dog unfortunately did not like the head of the costumn. Great addition to our shark themed party.
