My husband & I are full time RVers with a small, shihtzu/poodle dog. We bought bicycles a few weeks ago & wanted to take the dog along on some of our rides. We wanted something sturdy & large enough for her to feel comfortable. Since we have gears & cables on the bikes, we were concerned about how the basket would connect to the bicycle. This went on with no interference to the cables & is very secure. There is a clip inside if you want to clip it to the dog's harness but we're afraid if we tip over she won't be able to jump out. We put a towel in the bottom to raise her up a little so she can see better. She has plenty of space & has not tried to jump out. There are plenty of compartments for leash, water, etc. At first I thought it was a little expensive, but in the long run, it is well worth the money. It is sturdy & well made. Our dog loves riding with us & we get lots of smiles & waves from people passing by.

This is a great basket for my adult trike.......................I run one large dog along side the bike and now with the basket I bring along our latest 9 pound rescue..............The solvit setup bracket pushes the basket itself a bit away from the center post and the line runs on the side of it...........The faux wicker basket itself is adorable especially with the canopy cover filtering the lite on the little pooch............I get alot of compliments on it........and most of all enjoy it myself as does the smallest addition.

I had to bend the metal frame some to make it work properly on my handle bars, Avalon Cruiser. Looks like they would work properly on a standard handle bar. My 12 lb. Toy Poodle really likes to ride in it and fits with plenty of room. Very good for the price.

The bag is nice and has a leash/restraint that coupled with a harness keeps our small maltese safe. She is about 8 lbs. and she's almost a tight fit. The problem we had was with the size of the clamps that go around the handlebars. They were too small for my bike's handlebars and almost too small for my wife's. The diameter of the plastic bar that goes against the bike fork is also too small to be of practical use without modification.

The basket is stout and would work fine if I could make it work on my bicycle. The hardware that comes with it to attach to the handlebars is not universal and didn't fit properly on my handlebars, which are thick near the middle and taper. .We wire-tied them. The plastic part that holds the basket away from the gears, took the decal off the front of my bike, and then bent, so it will not hold the basket up. Yup, would love to use it, as I like to take my chihuahua everywhere I go, but until I find a solution to these problems, not going to happen.

Love this, easy to put on, I found it attached fine to my Mountain Bike, Nice and secure no swaying about, when I went over bumps etc, I have a 5lb Chihuahua that Loves it.

Nice and sturdy. Is really for a very small dog. Ours weighs 8.4 and it fits her fine but not much room left. Not so sure about the sun shade. Hard to get a dog in with it on. Overall so far so good.
