I am so impressed with my new shower filter. I did a lot of research to try and pick the best one. I am very happy and would recommend this one to anyone. It is heavy duty chrome - very nice looking - much better than the white plastic ones I've had in the past. Super easy to install - make sure you put the plumber tape on the part that you connect the shower head to - otherwise it will leak. I have no leaks - it works great! I love a shower with really good water pressure and I was concerned that these filters would decrease the water pressure, but I am so happy that this one did not affect the water pressure at all. If anything, it is better because my head is now closer to the shower head (because the filter dropped the shower head by 3.5").

Came quickly, super easy to install. The one and only con is it makes the shower head a lot lower, so it's a good idea to either modify your shower bar or purchase a handheld Sprite shower head/filter. This one is NSF certified, which not all of the models are. Although, certification is based upon submission. Meaning, some other newer Sprite shower heads may not be NSF certified simply because they were not submitted for testing. I have suffered from Eczema since I was a wee little boy. I am now 29. I thought it was just something that happened, not knowing it was the water I bathed in (in Atlanta). In my college years I moved down to Florida near the gulf coast and my eczema vanished and my skin cleared up quickly., even my acne problem. I got back to Georgia and started breaking out again, so I came to the conclusion it was the horrible water here. I put this shower head on the shower in my bathroom in a northern suburb and within a few days my eczema was receding quickly, within about two weeks, it was completely gone and has stayed gone as long as I use this shower head. Absolutely incredible.

Secondly, the smell of the water coming out of this shower head is great, it smells like a fresh spring, or waterfall flowing from the top of the mountain.

Needless to say, well worth the money. I recommend this to anyone suffering from skin conditions or just is sick of all the super-heated chlorine and other weird chemicals in their bathing water.

You have no idea what you're cleaning yourself with until you omit it from the equation. Fluoride, chlorine, and just icky bad stuff get removed at a respectable level with this filer. I noticed a difference in my skin in two days! Just use your own shower head and you'll be very pleased.

Take it from me - I'm one of the most particular people you'll ever meet and I don't endorse much of anything without being sure about it.
I'm an african-american female with hair typically associated with my ethnicity.
I've had this for 2 months and so far, it does help reduce tangles when washing hair.
I have a shampoo that's pretty drying (but smells so good :-) and when I'd used it with a regular shower head, my hair would get very tangled. I'd have to use gobs of expensive detangling conditioner to make my hair manageable.
I ran out of my regular shampoo and used the shampoo that had dried my hair the last couple of times I used it.
With the Sprite shower filter, my hair didn't tangle as much at all! On top of that, I was able to use a reasonable amount (vs. "gobs" of higher quality detangling conditioner) of run of the mill conditioner to replace the lost moisture in my hair.

If I had to take a gander, I'd say the tangles are a result, in part, of the drying effects of chlorine in the water.
Since this filter reduces chlorine (among other things) it reduces the drying/tangle effect on the hair.

I got one with deformed threads....so I used a few yards of plumbers tape. It worked. Unfortunately, the water pressure was also noticeably low (but it wasn't great to begin with - so if you have low pressure, you'll notice. If you have good pressure, you won't notice.)

I have used these for many years, and I haven't had an issue with them. But, this one came in badly...and where I live now has worse water pressure than were I used to live. So, unfortunately I cannot use it.

I think I did notice a beneficial effect on my skin, though it wasn't as drastic as people say. My shower curtain liner and shower got much more mildwey and dirty with this filter. I guess the chlorine kills this stuff.
