Oh, Ghirardelli, if only I was naturally skinny so that I could put you in a beer hat and drink you ALL DAY through its straws. But alas, I am a meaty girl so I can only put you in my coffee, on my ice cream, on strawberries and other fruit, my cereal, my veggies (when no one is looking), my toothbrush, as lipstick, oh...wait...I was dreaming again. These bottles are large and do not need to be refrigerated. I ordered them for a birthday party and have used them quite a bit. Quick shipping, great packaging, yummy on EVERYTHING!

This product tastes like good quality dark chocolate syrup. It's definitely leaps and bounds over Hersheys.

I can see how it's great for a mix, if you want the chocolate syrup to sweeten your drink. Or if you want to become really hyper.

As a topper for dessert, it's far too sweet for me. After all, the first ingredient is sugar and cocoa is the 4th ingredient after fructose. Keep looking if that'll be your primary use.

I'm not much of one for putting anything in my coffee, but a little of this gives it a nice chocolate taste, with a little sweetness (kind of addicting). I really like this as an ice cream topper. It has a wonderful dark chocolate taste (wouldn't expect anything less from Ghirardelli), that really complements vanilla ice cream. I think this has just the right amount of sweetness to it, a little more than you would normally find in dark chocolate, but it works for me.

The chocolate tastes great (it's Ghirardelli what do you think it's going to taste like?) but what is really cool is the product design. The spout has a membrane across it with a small X cut in it. This keeps the chocolate syrup from dripping down the sides of the bottle. This is so neat - pun intended. I wish I had taken a pic of it sitting on the counter next to another brand but let me paint a verbal picture: the bottle of brand X so sticky with old chocolate drooling down the bottle, making a gummy ring on the tiles and the Ghirardelli sitting looking like it just came off the supermarket shelf. Go for it. This is good stuff cleverly packaged!

I was so happy to see that Ghirardelli syrup is available in a smaller size. I used to have to buy the large bottles but didn't use enough and ended up wasting it. This syrup tastes soooo good! I use it in coffee to make my own mocha and in chocolate martinis. I highly recommend it for when you need a quality tasting chocolate syrup!

This makes my morning cup o' joe that much better! Not too sweet, not too thick or watery... the folks at Ghirardelli got it right with this one. This is my second order of this syrup and won't be my last. It dissolves quickly into hot coffee and rivals cafe mochas for my money.

Frankly, I thought my husband was crazy wanting this product when it cost so much. But he adds it to his hot chocolate and it makes Nestle so much better! He thinks it was worth it. And while I love Ghirardelli, I am still on the fence about price vs. worth.
