It's hard to tell, but, this pouch is not like a traditional pencil pouch that has only one zipper with one pocket that barely holds anything. On one side (back) there are three pockets that are accessed by one velcro flap. I was able to fit 7 thin color markers in one pocket and a large (student sized) scissors in another pocket. The front side has a main pocket accessed by a velcro flap and holds about the same amount as an average sized pencil pouch. There is a zippered pocket on the front that expands just a little to fit a few more school supplies. It's not too large, but, holds plenty of supplies.

If your child has to carry a lot of writing/coloring, etc. products, this is the pouch to buy. It has the space for everything and fits into a three-ring binder. It would be better if it came in other colors, but we are happy with the black.

Got this to go with the Case-it binder organizer. This is bigger than a standard pencil pouch so it holds a calculator and notecards too, which is nice if you have a middle/high schooler who has to have alot of gear.

Way better than I had imagined or believed it to be. I just wished there were more images to show the capacity.
2 Large Front-Load Pockets and 3 Side-Load Back Pockets locked with Velcro and zippers.
I Highly recommend this.

===== Package/Design/Dimension =====
Woven polyester fabric of sorts. The type used on the exterior of High-quality backpacks to under abrasion.
All well-made, no loose stitches, and well attached Velcro locks.
On a first glance, you could tell it won't fall apart with rigorous handling.

Dimensions as Stated [Width x Height].
Physical Rough Dimension is 8" by 11".
Maximum Usable Dimension is 7" by 11". 1" is used for the 3-Ring flap.

3 Rings on side allows attachment to Binders. I use this with Mead: Five Star Flex Hybrid NoteBinder, 1.5-Inch Capacity.
I attach the Case-it Pouch to the outside so all the papers inside the folder are flush and straight.

The Front side has a Velcro lock.
Upon unlocking, the right side is a pouch 4.5"x11".
The zipper is closed an located on bottom. So vertical movement opens pouch.
The left side locked with a top and bottom Velcro Patch. This left side holds a smooth internal 7"x11".
-I place Scissors, Calculators, Sheets of Paper, Rulers, and compasses here.
-Also works with lead pencils and pens.

The Back side is a large Side Velcro Flap that covers 3 well-meshed side-way pockets.
Pockets are aligned horizontal to the pouch.

Front side -- has a zipper pocket, and a flap with a pocket under it.
Back side -- has a flap with 3 mesh pockets. -- great for phone cords, electric chords.

VERY sturdy.
Somehow though, the thickness is an issue.
Taking up too much room and leaving the storage that it has kind of hard to utilize.

I bought this for mini tape, stapler, scissors, etc.
But what I thought was a fat pocket did fit everything but was kind of a squeeze.
And since the zipper pocket is only on the front bottom portion, it makes it awkward bulky on the bottom and there's no good way to distribute the bulk evenly.

This isn't a huge deal, and doable.
But honestly just a regular binder pocket may do the trick better.
I had a clear plastic pocket that was able to do what I needed.

I am however keeping this for electronic chords because it's great for those!

I really like this pouch. I have to carry so much stuff with me for school and this works great. It has a large pocket that I keep my pens, and other large items in. Then on the other side, there are smaller pockets which hold my small stapler, stapler remover, sticky notes, etc. I had another organizer which I loved and could not find the exact one again, so I tried this pouch. I've used it for three semesters and it seems to be holding up to the use. The only complaint I have is the velcro which keeps both flaps closed does not stay together. I wish they would have used a stronger type of velcro that really sticks together. A few times my stuff has fallen out of the pouch, but I just deal with it because it has so many pockets and other things I love.
