The tool fits in my hand nicely and the angle makes it easy to remove a hose. The metal seems to be of good quality,just be careful if you need to reuse the hose again not to poke it because the tool is very sharp at the tip.

I don't know how many times I've tried to take off hoses with screwdrivers and other crap stuffed in there trying to break the seal, only to ruin the hose. I wish I had this tool 20 years ago. Hard to beat OTC products for the value.

This is one of those tools that you will wish you had if you go to change a blown hose, thermostat or anything that requires the removal of a hose that has been clamped onto something for quite a while! It isn't costly, it is definitely something I was glad to have when my buddy needed some assistance changing a water pump! It makes removing the hose effortless and i didn't remove any skin from knuckles when pulling them off!

I always have trouble getting hoses unstuck so I can remove them. This gets in there and breaks the "stuckness"(rubber to metal), if you are not careful you can rip/puncture a hose. I just get the tip in and the try to do a 360 and the pull the hose off, and sometime apply pressure with the tool to help! Not sure this is a "correct" method but if a hose it in a hard to reach area and I can't get it loose, I put silicone spray on the tip of the tool and try to work in in where the hose is stuck, usually breaks it free.
Only big problem with it is some areas it just won't fit or fit properly to help

Great tool for removing stubborn hoses. I used this to remove a lower radiator hose on a Ford 289. Just place the hook between the hose and the mating surface and shimmy it around until the hose is loose. Since it's hooked, this tool gives you access a screwdriver or prybar could never provide. Likewise, it's thin tip slips easily under the hose. The tool is sturdy and is great to have in the toolbox anytime I flush my cars' cooling systems. I highly recommend this tool.
