I was a little worried about the magnification after reading some of the reviews, but it seems to be exactly what I need at a great price. I wear reading glasses primarily for small details and extreme close-up work. I needed something mainly for applying mascara, tweezing my eyebrows, etc. With a high power like 15x, you should expect to be limited to use at 3-6" from your target for best results.

I paid much more for a brass mirror with the same magnification but wanted a backup. My other mirror only has about a 1 1/2" insert with the 15x magnification. I'm very happy with the size of the mirror in general, the center area of optimal magnification and the overall strength. The suction cups seem to be very secure as well. I have no complaints and would recommend this product.

The first thing I noticed when I tried to turn the mirror on was that the switch seemed to be defective. The light flickered and would not stay on. The second thing I noticed was that the light was very dim. Contrary to its claims, this was definitely NOT the "brightest" mirror around. Because it is small, this might suffice as a travel mirror. But the one I received is going back.

This is a great little magnification mirror! The suction cups allowed me to place it on my larger bathroom mirror, and it hasn't fallen off like other products. The lighting really helps to see for plucking eyebrows and other detail items.

I bought this as a cheap lighted makeup mirror. It does not work well for putting on makeup. The only way it can be used is to hold it about 3 inches from your face. However, it is great for looking at certain spots on your face (e.g. plucking eyebrows). So, if you want a lighted makeup mirror, look elsewhere. If you want a brightly lit spot mirror, this is it. I will keep it but will keep looking for a better (and more expensive) lighted makeup mirror.
PS The suction cups work well but I use it mostly hand-held.

Well I was excited about getting this one, but when it arrived and I wanted to put eye make up on I had to be so close to it to be able to see anything that it was impossible to put mascara on. I guess my vision is not yet that bad :-) to use it. Well lets say my mom got a free mirror.
