within 3-4 days. The quality was excellent, and the heat
was less than the Butch T. Scorpio I had tried the week before.
This was as I expected, an desired, as the Butch T. only has
heat but no taste. I've been a pepper head for 40+ years an
believe this is the highest quality ground pepper I have ever
purchased.

For the reviewer that believes the powder had filler in it I say BULL.
If you put a spoonful of this stuff in your mouth, and didn't think it
was hot I have my doubts of the validity of your statement. One tsp. is
the same as 6 of the dried whole peppers that accompanied the 8 oz.
container.

I have been blending pepper mix's for years and will use this to make my
Dragon's Breath, which my friends love. I plan on ordering more items and
recommending you to all my friends.

I had such a friggin hard time finding bhut jolokia powder on the net, which my brother and I started using on our Chili spice-off days for it's incredible heat and delicious smoky flavor. I even tried getting some from its mother land when my wife and I went to India. No luck.

Of course Amazon would wind up being the solution.

Sonorian Spice company isn't messing around. This is the real deal. That said, BE CAREFUL WITH THIS S***. This isn't Cayenne or Chili powder or anything you've ever tried before. Before buying this I recommend looking up the Scoville heat measurement scale. Look up the Bhut Jolokia pepper. See it all the way up there? Way, way, way up there? Yeah.

If you can handle the heat, this product makes a fantastic cooking spice. I don't recommend it as a condomint because the taste is too raw but, when cooked into a dish, it adds a delightful smoky flavor and a 737 sized kick of heat.

One tiny flaw - there are a few tiny, tiny stems in the jar. Not even remotely a big deal.

The order came in fast and, since I have a set of measuring spoons for very small amounts, I tried 2 smidgens worth. Definitely livened it up. I had heard of the Ghost chilies at 1 million Scoville units, so I was gentle with the use of this product. At 8 oz. there is a lot of chili powder and is best used in small doses if you value your tongue.

If you like spicy get this. I buy this because I have customers at my restaurant that apparently thinks that jalapenos are not spicy enough. Let me tell you if you eat this you will feel the burn, if you don't you probably don't have taste buds. I have had it one time and that one time is enough. I took one bite and my mouth burned of 1000 suns. Then you can feel the burn go down your throat and then down to your stomach. This is truly scary stuff.

I use this with my food. Just sprinkle it on like pepper and I'm good to go. I love Ghost Peppers. They're better grinded up to a powder like this, so you can do the amount you like. I'm a veteran of this type of heat, so I can easily handle myself with it. If you can only do a habanero and get messed up. Either stray away from this completely or use it VERY SPARINGLY! This can, and will mess up your stomach if you're not used to this intense heat.

As far as the product goes, exactly as described and came days faster than said on estimated shipping date. It's a very fine powder, so be carefuly when opening and sifting onto foods. You can stir up a dust into the air and you will feel the pain lol. I usually just sneeze, guess I'm getting used to it.

Mildly hot if you are pepper head like me. The taste of Bhuut Jolokia is what has me hooked to this powder. The heat is decent and and the flavor is slightly smoky without being Chipotle obnoxious (without any heat). I'm on the 2nd container 7.5 oz (only me) this year of this stuff. will need resupply by Dec/Jan.

If habanero is super hot for you this will kill you. If it's only hot, then this will be really hot, but tolerable. Work up your tolerance with this powder and then enoy this pepper's GREAT flavor. Stupid hot peppers aren't worth it if they don't tatse good! :)
