My current Skullcandy earbuds have excellent sound with the built-in iPhone controls. The main downfall is than they do not stay in my ears.

The Philips SHH8107/28 headset works perfectly in keeping the earbuds in my ears. The over-the-ear design is comfortable and doesn't affect my eyeglasses. I have not had a problem with the in-line controls on my iPhone 4S. The pause, fast forward/rewind functions all work well.

Although my SkullCandy buds deliver deeper bass, these Philips buds are not bad. I use my earbuds to and from work, on public transportation, for 30 minutes each way so these will be great for my needs. These earphones come with three sizes of ear caps. I use the smallest size so that could be why the bass is not as deep. I tried the medium size which blocked out more of outside noise while helping to enhance the bass tones.

I have only had these for a couple of days but so far so good.

Overall, a good, comfortable earbud

Update 3/21/2013: Today the left speaker went out. It just stopped working. I take great care of my electronics and these headphones were always in a case when not used. There is not even any static like a loose connection. So disappointing. They only lasted slightly over one year. Since they didn't last very long I am reducing the number of stars from 4 to 3 because they sounded good.

This product has great fit and very comfortable. Sound is excellent for the price. What I don't like are the buttons to take a call, start/stop music, ask Siri a question, etc. The design could be better. Suggest simple flat buttons easy to feel and find. The ones on this product are somewhat difficult to feel and fine. The reason I purchased these in the first place was for the integration to the iPhone, fit/comfort and sound quality. It meets 2 of the 3.

I use my ear buds for when I'm in the vehicle driving as a headset. I have bought a set and put in each vehicle and do not have to worry about where my headset is, is it charged, the effects of a wireless unit in my ear, etc. The Philips fits well and stays in my ear. I do not listen to music with them, I just talk on the phone. I can hear the car stereo playing, my wife talking and they're comfortable. The phone conversation is clear and the other party hears me clearly. The only thing they need to improve on is the inline control buttons. I believe others have commented about these also.

Tried one set then bought another one to go in the pickup. Whichever vehicle I get in to drive I have a headset in there so I can have hands free driving.

I have tried nearly a dozen headphones for walking and running. Most are either uncomfortable, fall out, have poor sound quality, or act like a stethoscope sending noises from the cables into my ears. These are great, and have a mic and controls that work well with my iphone 4s. I highly recommend these for working out.

These earphones are great. My wife cannot run in her earphones that came with her iPhone-- they fall out of her ears every few minutes. Looking for a replacement, I stumbled upon these earphones. These earphones stay on my wife's head because of the hooks going over her ear, and she still maintains full phone conversation capabilities. The phone/volume/track control buttons are located in a natural position on one of the wires coming from the earphones. We did have a problem with the first set of earphones we bought (the buttons were loose, and rattled while you moved about), but after a quick exchange we have a perfectly functional pair. If you have small ear canals, and need earphones that won't fall out every few minutes, these will serve as worthy replacements to your current set.

I'm only giving this a one star as a warning because I know people mostly read the 1 star reviews when looking for feedback. In truth I only used them for 15 min. The reason is because I want to warn skim readers like myself that this set ONLY works for iphone, ipods, and ipads. It is not clear enough in the product page when you are glancing through the information that the in-line mic WILL NOT work for Android devices.

For one that DOES work with Android look at the much more expensive:

I was surprised that given the inexpensive cost of these headphones, just how good the sound is and even more important to me how sturdy the wires ans connections are. Too often the connections are prone to tear and break apart, but not with these. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought these headphones to use with my iPad for making phone calls, so I can't particularly speak to the quality of sound when it comes to music. But the spoken word comes through crisply and clearly with these headphones. The part that goes into the ear is also comfortable (and comes with two additional sized earpieces for those with larger or smaller ear canals). And as you would expect, the loop around the ear keeps things secure.

I have one sole complaint with this headset, and that is the mic is a little too close to the chin. This might be why nobody I've spoken to when wearing this headset has complained about not being able to hear or understand me. But from a comfort point-of-view I'd have preferred the mic to be about an inch further down the cord.

If you loathe the headphones that Apple ships with their products you'll like these.
