I have a pack of 4 and when they get going...there is no peace for anyone! I've tried spraying with water and I've tried the ultra sonic expensive gadgets that claim to work. However, this is the first thing I've found to silence the pack!
The first time I used it, my Shihtzu was very frightened by it. He shook for hours! I felt really bad that it scared him so much but he got over it after about a week. Now, he's afraid of the sight of the red can!
It took about a week to train my pack. I have one older dog who sometimes forgets and lets out a single bark before lowering his head. When someone rings my bell now, there is silence (or an occasional single bark) but we've had friends ask "where are your dogs?" because they were so use to the sounds of something that was similar to a pack of wild dogs. Now they're very well behaved and they don't jump on our guests either.
I keep the red can out as a friendly reminder to my well behaved 4 legged friends.
DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

My two three-year old Tibetan Terriers were unwelcoming hysterical barkers whenever anyone came to the door or entered the house, scaring the bejaybers out of friends, service people and kiddies. Just ONE blast of the Pet Corrector accompanied by an emphatic "Oh, No" ended this unacceptable behaviour after which they received a treat or an enthusiastic "good boys." Now, if they chase the cat, bark at the neighbors, etc., I just pick up the can and everything calms down. We can now sit on the front porch together enjoying the scenery, no longer terrorizing passersby. Thanks Pet Corrector - our lives have been changed for the better.

I have 2 mini Schnauzers, 5 and 6 years old. I thought they were too set in their ways to stop the barking outside at what ever they hear or see, and when someone comes over one of them barked long after they entered the house. I only had to use this 4-5 times accompanied by the command, mine is NO, and now when someone comes over they bark once or twice to let me know someone is here and I say NO and they stop. The same way out side, a couple of barks and I say NO and they stop! Who would have thought, but I'm so glad they did!

Had a small can and it worked great. The larger can makes a different sound and is not as effective.

Unbelievable that a little compressed air in a can could work so amazingly, two weeks ago, my 7 month old Aussie was a BRAT! She was scratching persistantly at the furniture, chewing on my shoes, furniture and personal items instead of her toys and tasty rawhides, mauling the cat, barking at us and getting sassy, eating the cat's food and digging in the litter box, biting my 11 year old son and trying to boss him around, digging in my garden and generally acting hyper and wild! We tried obedience school which helped a little but was costly and a lot of work. A friend recommended PET CORRECTOR. Now two weeks later, she very rarley tries any of that. Its amazing! I havent had to use the spray much at all and I always give her a warning and tell her NO. Now all I have to say is NO and she stops any naughty behaviors. She listens to me better all the time, even when I havent used the can in days. I bought a 50 ml can and have used only about half of it, and I am using it less and less. I think it really helps that my dog is a little skiddish to noises anyway. I am so excited about this product, I now have a sweet, calm, well behaved pup. I have been telling all my friends with dogs about PET CORRECTOR!

I buy hundreds of items from amazon every year and never really post reviews but I just had to come and leave a review for this. We had just gotten a 7 month old husky puppy. He was almost 50lbs and super high strung. He wanted to play all of the time and the only way he knew to play was to bite. I was at my wits end and actually considering buying a shock collar. I was actually searching for one on amazon and Pet Corrector came up in the results. I read a little and decided to give it a shot. I *really* did not want to buy a shock collar so I figured I'd spend $10, try this and then go from there. While I was waiting for it to arrive, I came back and read more reviews and they all seemed to be from owners of small dogs, so I got a little worried.

Well it came, I tried....IT WORKS. It's been over a month and I have only actually sprayed it 4-5 times, total. I have successfully trained the dog to keep out of the dishwasher while I am loading/unloading and he does not bite me to play anymore. I highly recommend this for puppies of any size! I can't speak to how it works for older dogs, but huskies are super hyper and stubborn and it worked like a charm. Hooray! (Photo is from before Pet Corrector, now I am bruise free!)

The theory is that since dogs are inherently afraid of snakes, a simulated snake hiss should startle them enough to stop their nuisance barking. When they stop barking, praise them verbally or treatly. Eventually the barking should be under control.

Our two dogs bark quite a bit, alterting us to every pedestrian, truck, or motorcycle that passes in front of our house. It's such a problem that I decided to try the Pet Corrector though I had my misgivings. Now that I've gone through most of a can, it's time for my evaluative review.

Press the can's top and air escapes making a hissing noise like escaping air does. It does remotely resemble a snake hiss and may fool a dog. When I spray the can about a foot from our dogs' heads, they do stop barking for a few seconds, enough time to distract them and then praise for not barking.

Eventually they learn to recognize the red can and sometimes even get quiet at the sight of it.

The verdict?

Barking has diminished some in frequency and duration. The same triggers stimulate barking, so it's still an ongoing problem. Rather than buy another can of Pet Corrector, I'll revert back to using compressed air which I started using while waiting for the Pet Corrector to arrive in the mail. For us, the can of compressed air works almost as well as the Pet Corrector and costs a lot less. I can even use the can to clean my keyboard when the girls aren't barking.

Good luck with your barking dog or dogs. For some, the electric collar works well, but I've seen it in action and don't want to put something like that on our girls. I'd rather put up with the barking.
