Bought these as an upgrade for the cheap metal ones on a Squier Affinity Strat.
I've purchased a Graph Tech nut for a different project, so I thought of them immediately.

Didn't take me but a few minutes to loosen the strings up and install these and I couldn't be happier.
All I did was unscrew the old ones and use the provided screws to install these, then line them up properly, tighten them down, and put the strings back on.
I had also installed a Graph Tech nut previously and now the tuning is smoother than it's ever been!

I'll definitely recommend these to anyone I come across who is looking for some improvements on their fender-style guitars.

Coupled with graph tech's nut these solved my tuning problems on my bullet strat, I had to sand one down to match the shorter factory tree, when doing this, keep in mind that graph tech's tree is thicker at the top than the steel one, so make sure you make
the surfaces the string comes in contact with the same elevation not the overall height the same, you will wind up with very short trees if you don't.

I use Graph Tech saddles, nuts, and string trees on all my guitars. Not just because they eliminate string breakage, that's just one thing they do. They also add resonance and sustain to my playing, and make string bends as smooth as butter!

It is as advertised. There are some molding or casting type lines in them which I sanded/polished off, and they're not the most "sleek" looking design as far as string trees go, but they are very functional. I appreciate the larger screws which helps avoid the dreaded stuck/broken tiny screw others have.

The guitar in question now has black graphtech string trees to match the black Tusq nut and black Wilkinson saddles. It all works.

I put these on my Schecter PT. Check the slotting on your guitar's nut. If the strings are binding there, the string trees won't help. If the nut is correct, you will notice a big difference. The factory string trees have little burrs, or even grooves that your strings can catch, preventing them from returning to pitch. I have used Tusq products for years on acoustic guitars. Their saddles and nuts are top of the line. This product was no different. 100% satisfied.

They work great. I got rid of the friction that causes so many tuning problems. Now I have to do something about the nut on my Squier Telecaster. They're easy to install too. You only need a screwdriver. And last but not least, they look great on the headstock, much better than in the pictures. They're really small and slick. Recommended!

Nice string trees and a decided upgrade from standard metal units. I switched the metal saddles and string trees out for Graph Tech versions and the tone of my custom-built Strat-style guitar was much improved; less "thin" sounding and more sustain.

Tuning stability issues, by and large, are caused by friction points on the string, not necessarily poor tuners. The nut is the primary place where this friction occurs, but in a Strat-style guitar, the metal string trees may also catch and bind the strings. While probably not as critical as replacing the nut, these Teflon trees from GraphTech do a great job. I've noticed major improvement in all my guitars after installing GraphTech components!
