I researched the internet up and down for a dual power kit and this was what seemed like the best choice.

The cables are very heavy duty and there is everything you need in the box to be up and running in no time.

Instructions were very easy to understand and cabling was a snap. This is another Rugged Ridge product that I really enjoy having. After installation, testing showed everything running just as described.

This project (not counting the battery try) took about 1.5 hours to complete. The only time consuming portion was the internal wiring.

Haven't installed it yet because I have to fabricate a mounting bracket. The instructions/picture show mounting it on the radiator support bracket of my 98 Wrangler. Problem is, they don't provide the mounting bracket/hardware to do that, you'll have to fabricate one! My other option is to mount it on the firewall, not a good choice. So, off to the hardware store.
Also reading other reviews about the wiring instruction being incorrect. That review states Rugged Ridge acknowledged there is an issue. I'll definately have to research that further before I energize this puppy. I have $900 in batteries and alternator, and don't care to fry any of it.

Went in ok, but the instructions could be clearer. I'm still unsure if I installed it correctly, it works, but I have a red light on all the time on the switch and the directions do not say anything about that. Anyone else know if thats normal?

Highly recommend this product to anyone looking to add a second battery to their rig. I added this to a 2008 Jeep Wrangler JK.

Installation was fairly easy (though work on electronics daily), I would recommend contacting Rugged Ridge for an updated instructional page due to some discrepancies with the wiring of the switch. If you get the wrong page you will constantly have either the red led or green led on while vehicle is off. This is due to a jumper not being described on the instructional page. If you run into this problem as I had they do have an update version, or you can search online.

Otherwise very simple and great product.

The components in the kit seemed of good quality. The instructions both written and wiring diagram were incorrect. Following the wiring diagram for the switch and installing the solenoids and cabling in the jeep would not energize the solenoid . Called the support line and got no answer ,problem there was a time zone ,I called to late pacific time and plant located on the east coast. Next day I got hold of a support person,and they didn't realize they had a problem. I suggested the fix for the problem as I had gotten the switch hooked up correctly before the call. They took info and said they would refer it to develpment folks for analysis.

.So far It as woked as advertised ,hopfully the corrections will come with their later kits...
