Like others, I was shorted in my package of 100. When I saw that someone received 99 I didn't think it was a big deal--it's easy enough to miss 1 o-ring. When my package arrived, I opened it up and took out the 2 that I needed for the job at hand. Then I thought I'd check the count. 88 o-rings! Are you serious!?! Come on, how do you leave out 12% of the quantity and think that that's OK?!

Update: I returned the package of 88 and got a replacement package. This time it was 87!
I then contacted the supplier of the seals (not Amazon). The supplier doesn't do retail, but they have a website and when I contacted them, they informed me that they package by weight and that their scale must have been off for the batch(es) in question. They sent me a new package, this time of 101. They're a stand-up operation with a process that deviated a bit. The o-rings themselves are fine and now I'm satisfied with the experience.

Item arrived on-time and in good condition in a sealed plastic bag. Labeling on the bag included general item description (EPDM O-ring black -228), part count and part and stock-keeping numbers, but omitted the size specifications. There was no obvious damage or defects and the part count was correct.

The rubber seem to be of good quality and is firm, smooth and dry, with a light residue of release-agent powder (this is acceptable). It should be noted that the cross-sections of the O-rings are not perfectly round; there is a very slight lip on the inner- and outer-most diameters. This is no doubt where the dies met for the molding process, and is unlikely to interfere with performance. Measurement of about half a dozen or so pieces revealed all actual dimensions (which differ from the nominal dimensions--I highly recommend consulting the "Product Details" section) to be within specified tolerances.

All-in-all, these seem to be fine quality O-rings, though not quite top-of-the-line. Still, for the price I paid at the time (less than $1--Small Parts's prices can fluctuate quite a bit, I recommend checking them frequently), they were an OUTSTANDING value. Recommended.

This was the most economical way to buy a small quantity of this O-ring, which is a very small size that is not readily available elsewhere. The O-ring distributors and manufacturers need to sell in large lots that cost $40 or more. I only needed one, so this was an ideal solution.

Really nice o-ring, even better than pictured. Nice shiny rubber, very clean looking. I am using them for an application where appearance is important and these did not disappoint. Since I saw the 1 star review about being short on quantity, I decided to count them. I counted them twice using piles of five and I only received 99 pieces, not 100 pieces as the bag was suppose to contain.

Not a huge deal, but I am using them in pairs and thus I am now short the mate to one pair. I liked them well enough to order another 5 bags of 100 and will count those when they arrive as well. 5 stars for quality, 3 stars for not having the full amount of o-rings in the bag. Currently rating them overall at 3 stars and will adjust my rating if the other bags contain the full amount specified.
