The nipping ends are beveled in so for me they don't work like I had hoped.
I need a flush end so I can get in close like metal finger nails. But I'm sure

These nippers are garbage for doing fine work as the description says they will do. I bought them for precision work and now I am out the price of them. Buyer beware, if you are looking at these to do really fine work such as working on jewelry or modeling then these are not the nippers for you.

For $3.12 this tool is worth the cost. I use it to make square, straight cuts in plastics when working on HO model trains. Took a while to arrive from China, but worth it considering the low cost. It has an actual spring, not 2 interlocking pieces of metal that keeps tension on the jaws.

A nipper that doesn't nip. It is not sharp enough to nip cleanly. I don't use it. There are much better cutters out there like the Xuron 170-II Micro-Shear Flush Cutter.

I find that tool was molded or assembled just a bit off. It does not cut flush, as I think was advertised, and while one side closes all the way the other side does not. Even with fine wire I have to make sure I cut at the 'correct side'. It will do what I need, but not as easily as it should.
