What a disappointment. Great looking and durable. Only problem is stainless flatware leaves marks on this like an etch-a-sketch. Lenox was unsympathetic and suggested using Bartenders Helper to scrub them clean. It helped, but not completely. But, who wants to have to scrub their dinnerware. They tell me that stoneware does that. But I've had stoneware by other manufacturers which does not. I asked them to give me a credit and they refused. You really don't want this dinnerware because it ends up covered with marks from the utensils.

I've had 8 sets of this china and it has been continuously used for the last 3 months. We had a few minor marks from mostly my fiance cutting his food, but I used Barkeeper's Friend to get them out. I also heard Wright's Copper Cleaner works best to keep them nice and white or cream whatever. I love the simple elegance of the pattern. I can spice it up with different colors from Lenox's other sets in the French Perle collection or even the French Perle Groove collection. I am very pleased with them. I have not really microwaved them that much, but I have continuously cleaned them in the dishwasher and they're holding up great. I was really apprehensive about the bad reviews, but I think those people must chop the crap out of their food because it has not really been an issue for us, besides what I've already mentioned. We also recently replaced our old silverware to higher quality stuff so maybe that also has something to do with the ability to leave scratches. I also just purchased additional pieces to go with the set including smaller plates & bowls. Can't wait to have company so I can have a beautifully set table. I decided to update with side by side pics. The small bowl is NOT Lenox it's a BH&G product purchased from Walmart & used extensively for the last 5 years, before I was able to replace with items received off my wedding registry. I think I only had 4 settings for that set so they were used constantly. They are both stoneware though, just wanted to show how scratched my old stuff was & how the Lenox products are a lot nicer.
