I love this diaper! The umbilical cord snap down feature was great for the first few weeks (we still snap it down even though her cord has fallen off!). I love that this diaper looks like it will fit for a long time.

The only bummer is that there's no pocket to add absorption. I worry that once my LO is older (but still tiny), she'll soak through this. But for now, this is the ONLY diaper that fits her! She's 4 weeks old, and still in Newborn disposables. No other cloth diaper has fit her yet, but this one does -- beautifully!

I was so excited to receive these diapers for the baby I'm expecting in a few weeks, but unfortunately I've decided to return them. One of the reasons I use cloth diapers is because of the comfort factor for my children. I'm so disappointed the backs of the snaps penetrate all of the layers of material and are touching the baby's skin. I have several brands of cloth diapers for my older son, and this is the only diaper I've ever seen like this. All of the others only have the snaps going through the PUL layer. These go through the PUL, the absorbent core, and the lining layer that touches the baby. I just don't think that would be comfortable, especially for a little boy (which is what I'm expecting). I think they probably do this to make the snaps less likely to pull through the fabric, but I think it's too big of a comfort sacrafice. It would have been just as easy to reinforce the snaps behind the PUL layer with a non-visible layer of fabric (like my Knickernappies), or use a thicker PUL. Or go ahead and have the snaps penetrate all the way through the absorbent layers, but stop underneath the material that touches baby. I've seen complaints by people about WAHM or small name diapers that had this thoughtless problem, but never about a brand name like Kissaluv's. I'm just going to go buy some newborn BG's. At least I know they will be reliable and designed thoughtfully.

I was really excited to use these diapers. I put them on my baby registry and was thrilled to see that someone had bought them for me. Once we were home from the hospital, I immediately put my little girl into a beautiful blue diaper! It was adorable. However, I think we may not have dried them long enough after the first few wash/dry cycles to prep them because out LO broke out in a yeast infection after about 3 days of wearing. This, of course, caused us to have to strip and "de-yeast" our brand new diapers. (no fault of the diapers themselves, just frustrating!) Anyway, after that challenge, we were happily using the diapers for about 3 weeks. Then, we noticed that our LO started to soak through the diapers at night. She would wake up for middle of the night feedings and have to be completely changed because her clothes were soaked! I was surprised that a 4 week old could soak through the diaper, but it happened nearly every night until we started using our hemp wipes as "inserts." That solved the problem for a few days, but it wasn't a long-term fix. Around week 5 we decided to give our pocket diapers (initially too big to fit) a try. And thankfully they fit. We've switched to the pocket diapers and are much happier with the result.

Bottom line: The sizing is great for newborns. The snap down for the cord is a great idea. We found the absorbency to be an issue for our little one around 4 weeks old. She could have fit into these diapers for another 4 weeks, but there is no way we could have contained her pee for that much longer without a doubler or some other soaker insert!

These diapers are not worth $15/diaper for the length of time that they are usable. I don't recommend these diapers. I wish we would have saved our money and just used prefolds and inexpensive newborn covers for this stage. (or even, dare I say, disposables!!) :)

We absolutely love this option, having a diaper that snaps below the umbilical cord. We've dont the 3x pre-wash and it got even softer than when it arrived, it's just the softest thing ever. PLUS, it has a built-in think potty area, so if baby can't quite accomodate a cloth liner, you don't even need one!

We bought an assortment of newborn diapers and these are hands down the winner. My son was born 8lb 8 oz and these fit immediately. The front folds down low enough to avoid the umbilical cord stump, and it looks like once the stump falls off we should be able to get more wear out of them by using the upper row of snaps. These are so easy to use, my husband loves them. They are so nice and soft against babies skin and not terribly bulky either. They also hold a lot of urine and poo without any leaking. The bumGenius newborn AIO's leaked horribly, with a three day old baby, so it couldn't have been that much liquid, and they were prepped correctly too. We also like the fitted Kissaluvs with the thirsties covers, but it is so much easier having them all together without the extra step,so I just ordered a few more.

Kissaluv makes a fitted diaper in a size 0. Those need a cover so we thought we would try the AIO (All in one) However, the AIO is not as absorbent & does not fit the same. The size 0 go tighter around the legs and they also have one more size adjustment. These have leaked literally every single time he pees or poops. He is currently 9 lbs 3 oz & 21 inches. He is in the 50% for everything. These should fit and not leak. I can't see them fitting right until he is 2 moths old and then I don't think they will fit very long. But they were cute to put on him for his newborn pics.
