My dryer was losing efficacy, which is usually a sign that the vent needs cleaning. Did that, despite having cleaned it rather recently, and didn't get too much lint out, so predictably performance didn't improve. So I figured I'd see if possibly the lint filter was an issue, so I took it to the sink. Wow. My lint trap actually HELD WATER since there was some kind of waxy/plasticy junk gunking it up. I'm guessing that was from fabric softener sheets? I dunno. But whatever is was, it wasn't coming off. So I ordered this, and VIOLA! drying time back down to where it should be!!

The lint trap in the Frigidaire Gallery dryer (model GLEQ332AS2 ) that came with our house had tons of crap melted into it, probably restricting 25% of the meshed area. This was a perfect replacement and works as well as a lint trap can in this dryer.

My husband accidentally melted the screen in our old lint trap. FYI, if you ever 'wash' a lint trap, don't try to dry the screen with a lighter. It melts.

This replacement trap fits, and catches the lint. What more do you need from a lint trap?
