Carhartt's twill double-knee work pant is built to outperform. It's constructed Carhartt strong of rugged 8.5-ounce, 65% polyester/35% cotton twill. Wrinkle-resistant and with stain-repel-and-release finish, the fabric also offers a permanent crease. Double knees add an extra layer of protection where it's most needed. There's also a convenient right-leg cell phone pocket. The pant sits slightly below the waist, and has a relaxed-fitting seat and thighs.

Great pants for hard-working men

My husband is a machinist and that invloves tons of dirt and grease. Plus he is constantly snagging his pants on screws and crawling in and out of machines fixing them. These pants have held up to all of that and still look brand new. The fabric was super stiff at first. But, a couple times through the washer and dryer softened them right up. We stuck with black and dark gray for the colors because of all the grime, but they have yet to stain and my husband has worn them everyday for 2 months now. The double knee has also kept the pants from wearing out. The only negative thing I have to say is they run long, I got my husband the 34" inseam and they drag on the ground without his work boots on. However, my husband is 6' 5" so that was not a big problem for him, but for someone shorter it might be.

Excellent trousers

These pants are typical Carhartt contruction. Substantial belt loops, deep pockets and a handy side cell phone or utility pocket. Dressier than other similar trousers. Make a great uniform pant, rather than black BDU's. Launder well, par dry and hang by the cuffs to preserve the crease. Have not faded or lost luster with washings. These have been utilized for technical rope rescue and have held up to the abuse.

Husband loves these pants. They are good for meeting people and doing jobs bids. You can also do un-expected work in them and not feel like your going to ruin them because of the material. They help you appear well dress but also hold up to physical work that needs to be done. The cell phone pocket is great and can also be used for pocket knife. I bought a few different kinds of the Carhartt pants and my husband wouldn't mind a few more of the double knee work pant. Very happy with our purchase.

Stylish and sturdy but...

These are decent enough pants for sure. The 34W-32L sizing was accurate (I'm 6-0 and 165#), but I was really expecting something more suited for crawling around on lumber than on polished floors. That said, I was happy enough with the construction and price to keep them. The knees on these will last a lot longer than on a pair of my Dockers.
I would like the side pockets to be deeper. Keys and coins too easily fall out when sitting in a car seat. If there was a zippered or Velcro'd side or leg pocket I would trust it to hold my phone but these pants don't feature that. The open leg pocket that is there is a little too narrow to slide a phone into but it's just deep enough to hold a pliers or marker. No hammer loop, and these sure don't have the utility of cargo pants although I wasn't buying those. And that's about it. No frills, and they look good.

Carhartt work pants 52/30

First of all, my husband is a big guy. Finding clothes in his size is difficult. I had initially bought a pair of Carhartt work pants in a size 50/30 from another seller and we had to return them because they were a tad too small. That seller didn't have a pair in 52/30 so I had to do a little more searching. I found these and by the looks, they looked perfect. Now let me tell you, my husband is picky and so hard to buy clothes for! Well when I first opened the package my first thought was that they were extra crisp. My husband didn't like the feel, he has sensitive skin and said they would irritate him at work BUT he decided to give them a try anyway. He came home the next day and said he loved them! He wanted to wear them the next day but I wouldn't let him because of how dirty he gets at work so it looks like I will be buying some more of these! Overall, we are very happy with the product and that says alot coming from my husband!

Bought my normal size, but they were slightly too big around the waste and way too long in the legs. I'm not sure if the measurements for length are wrong, but the knee reinforced sections were also way too low to be practical. the pockets are a little shallow as someone else pointed out, but the phone pocked fit my iphone 6s fine, that's the max size for a phone they can fit though.

I love these pants

I love these pants. I normally buy Dickies but I saw these at such a great price and thought I'd try these. I'm very glad I did. These have a button fastener which I much prefer over the slide fastener on the Dickies double knee pants and the belt loops are bigger and wider which allows me to wear my duty belt instead of having to wear a narrow belt through the loops and the duty belt over top. Overall I couldn't be more happy with this purchase.

Carhartt Quality

These pants are right in line with what you might expect from Carhartt. They are made of a really good tough, but not too tough, material and wear like dress pants. My only negative is that the extra size in the leg diameter means that they sit on top of my work boot in a way that makes the back of the pant leg touch the ground when I am walking and sometimes it even goes under my heel a little and I can't stand that so now when I put my boots on I simply roll the back up one time. At first I blamed it on them being too long so I had them hemmed up two inches. That didn't fix it so now I roll them. All this is in a way my fault. I like my pants long because I squat down a lot and don't want them to raise up. For somebody else who orders them then should order the exact length they need to keep the leg part from touching the ground, just my advice. Either way, they are awesome pants for the price and have the Carhartt name.
