My 38 yr old blue front amazon tears up two of these a month. Great fun. I stuff them with assorted goodies and he spends about 3 days shredding poor Pete....the beak is always the first to go.

I have to admit I thought it was really stupid to buy a bird pinata for my parrots...but they went and loved it more than any other toy they had. The brim of the hat was destroyed, the paper was peeled off, and one of my birds even kept millet and treats in the hat for snacking. I even caught her sleeping in the sombrero.

The only con is that the treats are too far buried in the toy for my birds to really care to try and get to them. Out of sight out of mind. Otherwise, a surprisingly great bird toy.

My male parrot usually ignores all toys. He'd been tearing up newspaper so I thought he might like this.
He looked at it for a few days & then tore it all up in a frenzy! I think he had fun, in a parrot sort of way.

Another favorite of my CAG! Last time he had it he chewed it through at the top after chewing up the hat and some side 'feathers'. It didn't bother him that it was on the floor, he went right after it till it was all gone.

This is an awesome toy. I have 4 lovebirds in a very large cage and they have thoroughly enjoyed shredding this toy. It's a really cute toy as well and it's a nice size so it lasts a while.

My Umbrella Cockatoo had it destroyed in about an hour. I am not sure what he is thinking when he gets a new toy. I guess he liked looking for the treats I put inside. An hour is good time for him for something that invaded his cage that was not made with wood. Wood toys can take up to 3-4 days depending on how big it is. Anything paper takes minutes.

My cockatiel was afraid of it at first, so I put millet in the tail and on the hat. Now he loves to shred it. It lasts a long, long time, too. Compared to other toys he's never taken to, this was a great buy, and it's pretty too!
