After having bought several brands and all things considered this is the best buy if quality is important. Not to much I can really say other than how bad the others are by comparison. I am using the as purge valve for LPG product I manufacture. Laboratory scale showed 0 loss over 7 day test at 250 grams of propane in pressure vessel with only this valve. At first I was going to cut off the safety, while prototyping but now its something I wont change even on my own unit. Safety with lock outs for open or closed. Its not full flow 1/4 more like 1/8 through the ball but for me I put a metered release (or 1/32 hole in a plug) so I will not ever need to flow as fast as it can.
The other brands with a blue handle are the ones I bought needed machining to accept 1/4 npt. They looked like threads but they werent. I work in my own shop at night so I had to cut down a 1/4 npt tap to cut threads. It was obvious that the tooling was worn out at the factory. I would have returned them or thrown them away if didn't need them. Wished I bought these the extra cost was no cost at all when I had to ruin a tap and spent hours fixing cheap ones.
