My fiance is lactose intolerant, and quite stubborn about it. He dislikes having to take any kind of medicines, whether prescription or over the counter, so he would put off taking Lactaid. He would tell me things like "This isn't enough dairy to make me sick...". Wrong. So very wrong. While he doesn't drink milk, he is a big fan of cheese and creamy items. He would suffer the consequences and be confined to the bathroom for a bit if he didn't take Lactaid, and I would suffer after he fell asleep, with his nocturnal gas. About 3 days after he began taking this, he had ZERO problems. He has been taking this for about a month now, and we can absolutely tell that it is helping, because recently he misplaced the box for a couple of days, and OH BOY. He much prefers having to only take one of these every day instead of being in denial and suffering, or needing remember to take Lactaid with every meal. They can also be bought from Amazon in a 3-pack, which he has begun to purchase so he never runs out. I think everyone taking Lactaid should at least give this a try. This is a month's worth for less than $10, and you can't get that much Lactaid for $10. It can't hurt to try and switch.
