I bought this to write on power adapters/bricks which we have accumulated through the years. We are now having a hard time finding which is which that goes to our gadgets - cell phones, small speakers, battery chargers, blue tooth headphones, and many more. Most of them are black and you cannot see the regular Sharpies on them, even the colored ones. What you need are metallic inks like these. Sharpie also make metallic markers but generally higher in price.

They write great. You can easily see the markings in contrast to the dark background. From what it costs at the time of the review (less than six bucks), I think it is an excellent value. 8 different metallic colors, all of them work with the dark background. The gold and the silver are my favorites.

Made in China.

Cons:
Although it says fine point, it still is a lot bigger than those markers that are used for marking CD/DVDs, but for bricks and adapters, they are just fine.

Bought these as an alternative to the more pricey metallic pens and I couldn't be happier. I use them on a black background when making ATCs (artist trading cards) and they results are great. I only wish they offered a fine tip version of these. For this price, you really can't go wrong. Absolutely recommended!

These markers look cool, and don't bleed through paper. I use them for Kindergarten worksheets, and the kids love tracing their letters over the shiny markers. Also, much less expensive than metallic Sharpie markers.

Refer to my custom photo. The pens purchased from Amazon had very poor coverage. There's a clear pigment separation from the medium fluid. For example, using the blue pen, you will see blue streaks and silver streaks. Silver pen had very poor coverage, it looks like a transparent pen. Barely useful on white, useless on dark surface.

Since these pens are "satifcation guaranteed," I called their customer service. They sent me a new package, and as you can see, the pens have black shafts and are now called SRX Metallic Color Sharp. The replacements work much better. (Correction, SOME of the colors from the second package work better, some are actually worse. Refer to my photos/video in ext. link)

My only explanation is that the white versions are too old? I'd say, American Crafts' Galaxy Marker and Sharpie Metallic are great alternatives.

Ok these are amazing! I have a silver sharpie and LOVE it for marking those hard to mark things (black plastic, weird metal pieces, white storage containers), but it is silver and kinda boring. I took a chance on these (well based on the great reviews so far) and I'm beyond thrilled! The metallic colors are great. The gold is by far my favorite (although the pink and the purple are a pretty close second and third). These just knock my socks off. Couple things to be aware of, They are a bit slow in drying (as most metallic inks are) and will rub off real smooth surface (like glass) easier than a standard Sharpie type marker. My only real complaint is that they are made in China (which is VERY clearly stated on the package), but the story on the package leads you to believe that this company is dedicated to employing domestic workers (I think they are Canadian based)so a bit of a confusing conflict (I'm sure the company does have a domestic work force- but the story just leads you to believe that the products are being made domestically). Not really a huge deal, but just something that you should be aware of when making a purchase.

These markers dry up incredibly quickly, even after recapping properly and storing as per directions on the packaging. If you're not constantly using them, they will die on you during a use hiatus. Even when you do use them regularly, they will end up naturally drying up quickly.

(I write these long reviews because I went by the great ones and bought this when if I had read more like the one I'm writing I wouldn't be so disappointed.)These markers look so awesome and the price is right but there are some things you should know. First, the colors are true metallics and not just with a little shimmer so that's a plus. Second, they are amazing on white paper. Third, they have a cool design to them that make them look neat and also helps them feel comfortable holding them. Okay, that's the positives, now the negatives. First: The description states they color even on black. Technically I guess this is true since you can see them on black but the color does not remain vivid and you have to let the ink dry and go over it repeatedly. I've included some pictures to show them on both black and white surfaces. Second: Maybe this is just the pack I got but the green is very runny and would come out like paint and run if I wasn't very light with the pressure used. It makes sense that green is the most vivid. Third: The pack includes a black marker. I see no difference in this and a normal black marker so to me it was a waste of money and I'd rather had another color. The bottom line: If you just need gold, silver, and bronze/copper, stick with another brand (I reviewed them as well). If you want the colors, they are great on white paper but I've had other brands that are much better on any other surface. (I write these long reviews because I went by the great ones and bought this when if I had read more like the one I'm writing I wouldn't be so disappointed.)
