I'm a beginner at sewing so I ordered this kit for the basics.

What I LIKED:
1. Scissors are EXCELLENT
2. Measuring tape: 60" long
3. The bag is really cute and has two compartments
4. Pin Cushion for the wrist is really cute
5. Seam ripper and Sewing gauge are good

What I DIDN'T LIKE so much:
A. Pleating Pins and Safety Pins are flimsy
B. The thread is VERY cheap, don't use it unless it's on practice fabric

Other than that, I'm very impressed with the condition of this sewing kit and I'm a happy customer. I would recommend this for beginners.

I must say this is a great price for this product. I saw the same item priced higher and I'm glad I didn't get it. All items that come in this kit are very sturdy(great quality). I'm taking a sewing course and these are all of the items I needed for my class. I love the bag as well.

Cheaply made and very flimsy. Unless you have it jam packed with stuff, there is no body to it. And the reinforced (only on 2 sides) are bent in. The scissors are nice but I'm wondering how long it will take for them to poke thru the thin fabric of the bag. And the plastic protective cap on the stitch snipper doesn't stay on so I had to put a piece of tape on it so as not to poke myself or tear the bag. I would have sent it back but I destroyed the packaging. Regretful purchase.

When people use "professional" in the name of their product it should mean something. I was hoping to just plop down some cash and be set up for the few little sewing projects I have, but most of the stuff in this kit is useless. I would have been better off with a $5 travel kit.

I was disappointed with the quality of this sewing kit. I am a beginner sewer as well, but I am returning this kit. I ended up buying another one from my local sewing studio for $5 more, but the materials are 30x better. I do not recommend this product.
