I ordered the set of Rooster pasta bowls earlier, but held off on the serving bowl because of the price. I finally broke down to complete the set and darned glad I did! Got a great big handsome Rooster bowl and love 'im to death. I was raised on a farm, so have always been partial to Roosters (and hens!). The bowl I got was of the Red and Yellow type pattern, and that suits me fine. Now I can have folks over for my homemade 'sgetti!

The Pasta bowls from this set of dishes are a great invention. They have sufficient sides that they countain all kinds of soupy foods like,of course, pasta but it works well for bean dishes, and stews, and even enchiladas. Of course the design is a wonderfully artistic and realistic rendition of pretty colorful roosters and there are a total of four of them. I have put these dishes into to the microwave, and the oven, and the dishwasher and they seem to hold up well to all of that.

This bowl is absolutely stunning....sharp, deep colors and a beautiful addition to the rooster/chicken motif in my kitchen. However, I had a little trouble (my own fault) visualizing just how BIG a 13" bowl would be. It won't fit standing upright on top of my kitchen cabinet like I'd planned. It will fit standing upright on top of my hutch, but it won't stand by itself. It's so pretty, I want to display it....what to do? I know! Go to Amazon and do a search for a large bowl display stand. BINGO! Ordered an inexpensive stand for it this morning. I love Amazon!

I just happened upon this pasta bowl and an oval serving dish at Costco and bought them. The pictures here don't do them justice -- the colors are much more vibrant in person than what's showing up here on the Amazon page. In any event, I liked them so much, I'm adding to the collection!
